AH Doubts Dispelled?Tfaa Scriptural
Mods of Baptism Troiod by
Scriptures.
Sine* the dawn of tbo Christian ara
there has been constant discussion and
controversy,as to the true?the Bible?
mode of baptism. Eminent men of
* analytical mind and profound intellect,
have delved deep in ancient annals and
language in an earnest and sincere
eftort to determine the manner of the
Saviour's baptism, and from time to
time announcement has been made that
success had crowned the ehort; yet the
wot Id has as yet been unwilling to accept
tne evidence ottered in support of
such announcement.
Why?
Because the world has long since decided
tnat nothing snort of actual Bible
proof shatl determine what is tnis Bible
mode of baptism.
And at last tnis Bible proof has been
collated and presented in simple, read,
abie torai, so that ail who desire the
Bcr<ptural truth may gratify that desire.
Kev. W. T. Daie, D. L>., who bas devoted
tne best years of his life to this laborious
Beaicn after truth, has publisned
a 70-page book of Bibie . roof tnat
plainly snows the method of Christ's
baptism. Tne tine of tne book is "Bible
Headings on baptism,'* and it is sold
at tne sinail price of 25 cents a copy,
postpaid.
'iue author has constituted Rev. E.
H. Roy, of Tullanoma, 'lenn., sole agent
of tne book, aud he will he glad to
suppiy copies on request, accompanied
by u?e price. Address, Rev. E. H. Roy.

THE BRISTOL-NELSON SCHOOL.
Have you ever heard of this school?
It is located at Murfreesboro, Tenn.,
and is tne only school of its kind in
the South. It is a school for the care
and training of nervous, backward and
feeble-minded children. In commenting
editorially on the great work being
done at thlB school the New Orleans
limes-Democrat says: "Mrs. Cora Bristol-Nelson,
the gifted founder, says that
her education and training seemed to
her to have been directed by a Higher
Tower for juBt this work. She was a
graduate from the Boston School of
Oratory and Physical Culture, in the
first place, and then at Columbia University
for two years studied child
training, history of education, psychology
and kindergarten. After this she
became a teacher of articulation and
physical training In one of the leading
schools for backward children in the
East, devoting herself to such work as
this for five years. Then she married
and removed with her husband to Ten
nessee; and tnere, in a neid wmcn had
never been touched, she decided to
open this school and to devote her life
to the care and training of backward
children. She began her work with
two. The school has grown, until it
is almost always full. The number of
pupils who can be cared for there is
fifteen. Mrs. Nelson does not believe
that the best results are to be obtained
in large and crowded schools, since
from, the nature of things each child
must receive individual attention and
instuction. The patience, the endurance,
the tact that are necessary in a
work like this can hardly be Imagined
by one who has not looked on and seen
It done. Many of the children who
come there cannot walk, or are parl
tlally crippled; some of them cannot
talk, or have Imperfect utterance, and
most of them cannot obey, because they

with things. One of our teachers was
asked, "What method do you use?" says
the founder. She replied, "We have
fourteen pupils, and we use fourteen
| methods." Fancy the courage of the
teacher who takes one of those children
who has never walked, and daily
and hourly, over and over again, a
\ thousand times, teaches it to move the
undeveloped muscles, to stand its
weight on its feet, to place one foot
before the other, to walk, to Jump and
run. And think of the long labor which
brings out the mental unfolding. Mrs.
Bristol-Nelson is a pioneer in this work

Hang up the broom! It will last
longer and Bweep better, if properly Q
cared for; and if always in place, is u
easily found. When through using the t
scrub brush, wash, rinse and put to dry ?
bristle side down. Treated in this way i
it is always clean and is more durable. \
The period of usefulness of the vege- ~
table brush is lengthened by half if
cared for in the same manner.
Alops and all cloths used in cleaning
should be washed in clean water, and
hung in Buch a manner tnat they will
dry quickly. They will then be clean
and sweet when again needed.
Wash the dish cloth in clean soapy
water, rinse, wring dry, and hang in
Buch a manner that it will dry quickiy. '
Hang out-of-doors if possible. *
An oiled kitchen lloor, whether of
hard or soft wood, is more easily cleaned
than an unoiied boor. An oiled lloor
is more durable than an unoiied one. ,
Used boiled oil; heat it and apply to the floor
with an old woolen cloth. Rub the
oil in well, over the floor with papers,
to prevent the oil tracking if the room
must be used while the oil is still fresh.
If the oiling is done late in the afternoon
or at night, the papers may be re- .
moved in the morning and the floor c
washed with cool water. If no washing
of the floor is done for several hours \
after oiling, more of the oil will soak <
into the floor, and it lasts longer.
Floors are much more easily cared lor,
and look better, if oiled once a month-?
