Dear Presbyterian: I am a little girl nine
years old. I go to Fairfield graded school. I am
in the third grade. Miss Katie Bear is my teacher.
1 like her very much. I have one sister and
three brothers. I go to school with my oldest sis

are John D. and Malcolm. I had three pet cats
and one of them died. I have two pet calves. I
go to church and Sunday school at Fairfield. My
pastor's name is Mr. S. C. Akcrs. AYe all love
him very much. I will answer Alice Raskin's
question, also D. Allen Penick's: What book in
the Bible does not contain the word "God"?
Esther. How many people went into the Ark
with Noah? Eight.
As this is my first letter to you I hope I shall

Dear Presbyterian. Papa takes your good
paper and I like to read the children's letters
very much. I go to Sunday school every Sunday
I can. My Sunday school teacher is Aunt Emily
Harper. Our pastor is Rev. Robert Adams.
My school teacher is Miss Susie Brian. I haven't
any pets except my little sister; her name is Bertiice.
I have three other sisters and just one
! rother. As this is my first letter please don't
let it fin 1 the waste-basket.

Dear Presbyterian: I have written to you
once before. My sister is writing to you for the
second time. The last time I wrote my colt
was too young to ride, but' I can ride her very
well now. I got a book Xmas for having the
best lessons in our class in Sunday school. I
will answer Harold Smith's question: Which is
the shortest chapter in the Bible? It is the 117
Psalm. I will answer Christine Allen's ouestion.
it was: Who named John the Baptist? Gabriel
named John the Baptist. I will ask a question:

Dear Presbyterian : I live on a beautiful farm,
two miles from Covington. I have a pony. His
name is Nig. I have two pet kittens, named
Blackie and Whitie, and my doll's name is Adanoid.
I am nine years old, and take violin lessons.
I can't play yet, but I hope to some day.
T have a twi* brother and sister. My Aunt Jessie
Sheen reads the children's stories to me and I
love them all, and I hope when she reads the
letters next time that this will be in print. I am
sleepy now, and say good-night to you all. From

Dear Presbyterian: I have been reading the
letters in your paper, so I thought I would write
one too. Pana takes vour erood naner and 1 en
joy reading it. I see in one of the letters where
they have a new pipe organ at New Providence.
My father and mother were married there. It
lots been eight years since we left Virginia. I
have a little twin brother, his name is Bolivar. He
and T will be twelve years old the first of July.
I Tiave four brothers and two sisters living, also
a little nephew, he is sure cute. As this is my
first, letter to the Presbyterian, I will close, hoping
this does not reach the waste-basket.

years old. I attend the First Presbyterian Sunday
school, Danville, Va. My teacher's name is
Miss Nannie Watkins and I like her fine. I went
to Sunday .school all last year and got a star with
a pearl in it, which is my birthstone. I will ask

eight years old. I go to school. I am in the

Nannie Vinson. We all love her dearly. My Sunday

Dear Presbyterian: I am a little girl seven
years old. 1 go to the West End Presbyterian
church. Rev. P. B. Hill is our pastor. We like
him fiiie. Miss Carrie Price is my Sunday school
teacher. I like her tine. I recited the Child's
Catechism about two years ago, and our pastor
gave mo a nice little Testament. Now I have
recited the Shorter Catechism, and our pastor has
a nice Bible ready for me next Sunday. If you
all give diplomas for reciting the Catechism I
would like for you please to send me one. I
go to school every day I can. Miss Elizabeth
Burton is my teacher. I like her fine. I will
answer Eunice McCelvy's question: Daniel was
cast into the lion's den. I will ask some questions:
What three men were cast into the fiery
furnace? Who were Moses' father and mother?

Dear Presbyterian: I am a little Arkansas
girl, four years old, but my dear mama is dead,
and I am now in Virginia with my auntie. I
have a dear little sister named Elizabeth. I go
to Sunday school every Sunday. Our pastor is
Dr. "W. R. Laird, and we love him. I stay to
church sometimes. My daddy spent several
weejcs with us Christmas, and we were glad to see
him. One of my grandmother lives in Arkansas.
I love her and want to see her. My other grandma
lives in the country and I love to play in the
sand and have lots of fun when I go to see her in
the summer. I hope to see my letter in print as it
would please my daddy and my grandmas.

Dear Presbyterian: I have never written to
you before, but I enjoy the letters and stories
very much. I live in Richmond, the same place
the Presbyterian is located. Every ^Sunday
for the past five years, I have been present at
my Sunday school. It is situated at Twentysixth
and Broad streets. Our pastor is the Rev.
R. B. Eggleston, and we like him very much.
Since I have been going to Sunday school I have
had only one teacher, Mrs. S. D. Craig, and we
think she is fine. Several Psalms in the Bible I
know by heart, and have recited two catechisms

to Sabbath school most every Sabbath. My Sabbath

you before, but I have read lots of leters from
other little children. I am eight years old and
have been to school nearly a year. Both of my
grandfathers are ministers and have read the
Presbyterian a long time. I have two little
brothers. We have moved into our new home on
the river and we love to watch the boats go by.

my mother and daddy to see it.
