GOING WEST. Many Emigrants Leaving for Texas. MANY LEFT YESTERDAY. Several Farmers Casting Their Lots in the Lone Star State. City Ticket agent Smith, of the E. T. V. & G. R. R., sold twenty-five tickets to Texas yesterday. Tbe tickets were bought by a party of emigrants, who are going west to make their homes. Twelve of the party were from Holland, and the remainder from Leesburg, Ala. I' will be remembered that there was qu tea fl iw to'he west la t fa 1, and ir seems that it has by no means stopped In tbe past week or two many families have pulled up stakes and left for the west, and many more are on the eve ot going. Tne hard times and glowing descrip tion of tbe west have caused this, bu> there are other reasons, as one of the emigrants told a Tbibune reporter. S od he: “ I kings have got so we just must st p 'his credit business. That’s wba> his been tbe matter with the farmers, and lam going to stop it. I have tried it here, bur find that as long as I ca> give si cu'ity I cannot help from taking it. I believe I can make money if I let credit alone, and I am going somewhere wbe e I can’t get it. I know a ot ot psop'e.w.bo went to Texas and came back and said this was the b st country, but lam going to tty it. I haven’t much money, but I’m going to make a crop out itere with it.” Capr, J. J. Seay says he knows of m«ny who have g< ne and are going, ai d says tbe number is just as great as las' fall. S-v rai families are going to carry their stock, and farm implements through the country. A ’ravebng man talking yesterday stated that be was on a train with seventy five t e other day going from North Ala bama.
