Gentlemen —While in San Antonio,
Tex., last spring I saw your advertise
ment of P. P. P, (Pjrickley Ash, Poke
Root and Potassium) in the paper for the
cure of rheumatism and though*: I would
try a bottle; finding such great relief
from it on my return home, I had my
druggist, Mr. John McClellan, to order
me a supply. After taking, I think, ten
bottles, I have not had a pain or ache
since; previous to that I suffered for
twenty five (25) years, and could not get
the least benefit until I tried P. P. P.,
and therefore take pleasure in recom
mending it to all. Yours truly,

Beaconsfield’s Silence.
In 1875 Lord Beaconsfield paid his
first and only visit to Longleat, and
Lord Bath said afterward that he was
“the dullest (the word, writes the
canon in a subsequent letter, was the
‘most silent’) guest he ever had in his
house. He hardly ever spoke. ” Undoubt
edly Lord Beaconsfield could be most
agreeable when in the humor, but he
needed apparently stimulus of congenial
companionship or of some end which
was worth the effort. By all accounts,
he was given to fits of taciturnity, and
although he was known in his youth as
a voluble and persistent talker it was
impossible to watch his sphinxlike im
mobility in the house of commons, sit
ting with folded arms and seldom speak
ing, without feeling that silent medita
tion was more natural to him than
speech and the turmoil of debate. And
that seems to have been his own opin
ion. One of those who heard Lord
Bath’s remark on the silence of his dis
tinguished guest was Mi. Richard Doyle
(Dicky Doyle.) “I believe,” he said,
“that talking was always more or less
of an effort for Disraeli, and, indeed,
he once told me as much. ‘Circum
stances,’ he said, ‘have forced me to
talk a great deal, but nature intended
me to be a silent man. ’ ’ ’—Contempo

NINE MONTHS IN BED. CURED
24 HOURS.
T. J. Blackmore, of Haller & Blackmore
Pittsburg, Pa., says: “A short time since I
procured a bottle of “Mystic Cure.” It got
me out of the house in twenty-four hours.
I took to my bed with Rheumatism nine
months ago and the “Mystic Cure” is the
only medicine that did any good. I had
five of the best physicians in the city, but
received very little relie. from them. I
know that Mystic Cure to be what it is rep
resented and take pleasure n racomending
it to ether sufferers.”

People Don’t Buy Pianos
For looks alone. If they did, any one of
the pretty piano cases, offered for sale,
with the tin-pan attachment inside, would
do very well and not cost much.
A lew months’ use serves to show the
difference between a good and bad piano
—between a piano carefully made of ex
cellent material and a piano made of
cheap stuff, slapped together anyhow.
The Conover is as good a piano as was
ever made. You may see it any time you
will come in. Seeing’s free.”
