Never in the history of Our business
have we had a flour that equalled
Hand’s Best in nutritiousness and

of perfection and to the finder ot a
flour in Rome that wilt equal Hand’s
Best, we will give a barrel free. It
cost th more to get this grade ot
fluir than the goods we have sold
here from Southern mills, but you
can get it for same price you are
paying for inferior grades. Two
weeks ago we gave notice of the first
shipment of thia flour, and so great
has been its popularity, that we
have a second ear now in transit,
bought' before the sharps advance in
wheat. Our miss on is to introduce
this perfection of flours, not to make
money, and the selling of a car in
three weeks tells how .well we are

> —— r
Rome. Ga., August. 14, 1897. Edi
tor Tribune:—The plan for a criminal
reformatory for Floyd county is a
good one. It is one to which I have
given a good deal of thought, though
my idea has been more on the line of
an industrial school. The state of
Tennessee has, near Nashville; such
an Institution, which is successful in
the highest degree. No boys in Ten
nesssee are allowed to go to the pent,
tentiary; they are sent to the indus
trial school and learn a trade. I am
very much in hopes that Governor
Atkinson, when he makes his report
regarding the care of convicts in the
establishment of a state reformatory
or Indurtrial school for boys under a
certain age.
It is true, Mr. Editor, that taking
care of the boys in this way will be
somewhat expensive; but for what
better purpose could we spend money?
We spend a large amount in an effort
to reform the juvenile criminals? To
place the in them chain gang is simply
to turn them, over body and soul. .■ to
the criminal class, to be educated in
the criminal life and then to be turned
loose to commit depredations and add
to the expense of our courts.
The county of Floyd is very fortunate
in its board of commissioners of roads
and revenue 9. Too much praise cannot
be extended to these gentlemen for the
very wise and efficient manner in which
they.are handling the financial affairs of
Floyd county. They ars bringing order
out of chaos, and it behooves the good
people of Floyd county to support and
sustain this splendid board in its efforts
to cut down the expenses of running the
coqjity and to reduce the taxes. In the
meantime, however, we ought not to
neglect the care of the juvenile criminal
who is to be confined for minor offenses,
and I think the idea of utilizing the
farm which belongs to the county is a
good one.
Keep up the good work, Mr. Editor;
agitate it until you get the attention of
the people of Floyd, and in my opinion
you will never have cause to regret so
doing. Very respectfully,
Jno H. Reynolds.

There vyill be a meeting in the .court

the Floyd County Fence club:
Labor Day.
I Have been requested by a good many
mechanics and other laboring men to
call a meeting to be held at the court

ONE OF 4WO WAYS.
The bladder was created for one pur
pose, namely, a receptacle for the urine,
and-as snob it is not liable to any form
of disease except by one of two ways.
The first way is from imperfect action
of the kidneys* The second way is
from careless local treatment of other
diseases,
CHIEF CAUSE.
Unhealthy-urine from unhealthy kid
neys is the chief cause of bladder troubles.
So the womb, like the bladder, was creat
ed for one purpose, and if not doctored too
much is not liable to weakness or disease,
except in rare cases. It is situated back
of and very close to the bladder,
therefore any pain, disease or incon
venience manifested in the 'kidneys,
back, bladder or urinary passage is
often, by mistake. Attributed to female
weakness or womb trouble of some
sort. The error is easily made and
may be as easily avoided. To find out
correctly, set your urine aside for
twenty-four hours; a sediment or set
tling indicates kidney or bladder trou
ble. The mild and the extraordinary
effect of Dr Kilmer’s Swamp-Root,
the great kidney, and bladder remedy
is soon realized. If you need a medi
cine you should have the best. As

chronic diarrhoea. It has given me a

several prominent doctors without any

sent me a sample bottle of Chamber

that lam entirely cured. I cannot be
