4 TfflUE ffl MS! Ann APPNINf ft came, it saw, it conquered I It snapped in two all past record for quality, quantity vUH VirdUßU. and arrangement. The people say so; we say so. And now for the Winter’s Trade. Better prepared than ever? Nothing could be truer. This season we shall show stocks of goods in every department, surpassing in excellence and display, all former years. Our dress goods stock—in every point of detail, including dressmakers’ supplies—is without a peer in this portion of Georgia—by far the largest, the most complete and the best assorted. So with millinery, so with notions, so with shoes, so with clothing, and this season, over and beyond all proud achievements in the past, this store’s stronghold will be extraordinary values. After the election of McKinley we foresaw the inevitable—a towering tariff bill. We made haste to secure our stock in the early summer, and practically everything in this store containing wool or silk, and all articles of high tariff distinction, were secured before the vote on duties came. We are ahead of the tariff bill, and of all competitors. We bought enormously, and we shall sell at the old prices throughout the season, or until present stocks are in the hands of consumers. You’d do well to buy from us now goods to last you two years or more. The new duties will make them much higher. We want your trade. We shall endeavor always to deserve it.
