During the next few davs the South
ern Railway will run a number of excur
sions through Chattanooga to the Ten
nessee Centennial, says the Chattanooga
News. These excursions wilt Cover'
nearly all of the big system and will give
thousands of people an opportunity to
see the big show. The excursionists will
be given the privilege of stopping off in
Chattanooga and hundreds are expected
to avail themselves of the opportunity.
The first of the excursions will be run
from Biuckaburg, S. C., including.points,
between tbete and Atlanta, which will
aov,er a Urge territory in Georgia anti
South Carolina.
The second will be run from
Brunswick, Columbia and Rome. This
will reach from the coast 7 * through a

populous part of Georgia and South
Carolina. .
Tbe third excursion will be run
from Bristol and Asheville, covering
the intermediate points between these
cities and Morristown, where tho two
branches converged. The excursion
will be run October and covers up
per East Tennessee and Western
North Carolina.
Tbe fourth excursion will be run
from Greensboro and Gaffney and in
termediate points, October 20. This
covers a choice potion of the central
part of North Carolina,
The fifth excursion will be run from
Seima. Ala , and Rome, Ga.. and in
termediated poinsts

traveled. For the longer ones a rate
of 1 cent a mile for the round trip will

Floyd county boys, and sons of Dennis
Hills, for many years clerk of the court
here. They have been jja the Crescent
City for several years, and have done an
enormous business. 1

have sold 14,000 horses throughout the
United States. They have done business
from West Louisiana to Boston, and have t
sold stock in almost every state in the
Union.
Mr. Dennis Hills has been in Kargis
City several weeks, and will arrive here
Mondav with a car load of stock.
