CHATTANOOGA’S QUARANTINE.]" Only People From Points Where Fever Prevails Debarred From That City. • The quarantine regulations are be ing rigoriously enforced on all rail ways entering Chattanooga, says the i Times Yesterday the city and coun ty board of health employed four ad i ditional inspectors, Policemen Brock, Krichbaum and Woy. and Detective Wells, who are inspecting all trains on the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis railway, Chattanooga, Rome and Southern railway, and the South ern railway, main line. These offi cers were engaged in this work before the government quarantine was es tablished. They are now working under the direction of Dr. G. M. Hunt, the inspector-in-chief for the government, who has full charge of the quarantine. Many refugees from infected points have passed through Chattanooga within the past few days enroute to points further north. It was feared that they might attempt to come back to the city via the Nashville, Chatta nooga and St. Louis and main line of the Southern, and on this account the board of health deemed it wise to inspect all incoming trains on these two roads as closely as possible. Dr, Hunt and hi» corps of inspect ors had their hands full yesterday preventing refugees from Selma from lauding in Chattanooga. Every train from the south brought refugees. From the trains which arrived yester day rqorning were four refugees from New Orleans, five from Memphis, about fifty from Selma and five from Montgomery. Yesterday at noon the Southern train from Atlanta brought in a car load of Selma refugees, who were transferred to the Nashville, Chatta nooga and St. Louis railway under police .surveillance. They were not allowed to raise the windows of the cars while in the depots. The trains arriving after supper brought in between flft” and seventy five refugees who went on to Nash ville on the early train this morning. A rumor was extensively circulated yesterday to the effect that there were four cases of yellow fever in Murray county, Georgia, about fifteen miles from Cleveland, Tenn. An ef fort was made to verify it but with out success. The health authorities do not credit the rumor. Tortured for Months. ' ‘I was tortured for nine months with nettle rash.
