O’Rryan is Very Sick.
J. W. O’Bryan, on of the street fak
ers recently fined in the city court, is
quite sick and Dr. Shaw, who exam
ined him, says that the man’s life is
in jeopardy so long as be remains in
jail. O’Bryan is evidently not at all
strong, and could not stand the hard
work of the county chaingang. It is
believed that arrangements will
be made to release the man, as he
hasn’t the money to pay his fine. The
two others, who paid their fines, have
left the city.
Sure to Catch the Eye.
An artistically arranged show window
is almost certain to catch the eye of every
passer, and incidentally it may be said
attracts customers inside a store. Mr.
Thomas Fahy’s show windows are al
ways arranged with much taste and a
delicious sense of harmony. The latest,
arranged by Mr. R. Lee Byrd, shows a
very dainiy little bed-room scene. The
curtains drawn partly back displays a
baby doll sleeping sweetly beneath the
cunningest of blankets and eiderdown
quilts. The rest of the picture is in
keeping with the part described.
