Mr. Dewey Clark
Mr. Dewey Clark, age
93, passed away Tuesday,
February 2, 2021, at his
residence surrounded by
his loving family He was
born in Reidsville on Octo
ber 09, 1927, to Leroy and
Ollie Spikes Clark. Typical
of men of his generation,
his career was centered
in agriculture. For many
years he was the manager
of Bowen Seed Farms. He
also maintained his own
farming operation provid
ing for his family, friends,
and community. Later in
life, his carpentry skills
were made apparent. Mr.
Dewey would build and
sell hundreds of pie safes
in Tattnall and surround
ing communities. In his
carpentry shop he would
not only build new items
but give new life to dated
furniture as he refinished
various pieces. Although
“free time” was not in his
vocabulary, his hobbies in
cluded fishing and raking
leaves. Many times, later in
life, he would be chastised
for raking his yard and be
ing away from his oxygen
for extended periods of
time. Born into a devout
Christian family, he was
a lifelong member of Mt.
Moriah United Methodist
Church. His service to the
church included not only
being a trustee, but he was
also the Historian of the
cemetery. Mr. Dewey Clark
is the reason Americans of
his era were known as the
“Greatest Generation;” he
exemplified greatness in
everything he did, and he
will be sorely missed. He
is preceded in death by
his parents; loving wife of
64 years, Laura M. Lynn
Clark; children, David
Clark and Brenda Clark;
siblings, Earnest Clark, Lil
lian Clark Lane, and Frank
Clark. Left to cherish the
memories of a life well
lived are his children, Shir
ley Clark, Ronnie (Kathy)
Clark of Reidsville, Wanda
Robertson ofHawkinsville,
Clarence Clark of Reids
ville, and Sharon (Steve)
Lashley of Santa Claus;
grandchildren, Ron Clark,

The family received
friends beginning at 5:00
p.m. on Thursday, Febru
ary 4, 2021, at the funeral
home. The funeral service
was conducted at 2:00
p.m. on Friday, February 5,
2021, from the Chapel of
Low Country Cremation
and Burial with the Rever
ends Michael Kennedy and
Daniel Webber officiating.
Interment followed in the
Mt. Moriah United Meth
odist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dan
ny Bowen, Carl James,
Dewey Nail, Dennis Nail,
Eben Roberts and Kirk
Little.
The family would be
honored by floral tributes;
however, it is suggested
that memorial donations

Mrs. Wynell “Nell”
Windham Cooper, age 81,
of Mt. Vernon, went home
to be with the Lord early
Friday morning, January
29, 2021, at Community
Hospice of Vidalia. Nell
was a retired CNA and was
a member of Bear Creek
Baptist Church.
Nell was preceded
in death by her husband,
Melton Robert Cooper;
one son, Stanley Cooper;
both parents, Arch and Ef-
fie Lee Windham; three
sisters, Betty Tweedel,
Margaret Ward, and Peggy
Ellis; and one grandchild,
Toby Cooper.
Those left to cherish
her memory include two
sons, Robert Bryant and
Wayne (Tina) Cooper; one
daughter, Sheila Herrin;
and seven grandchildren,
Amber (Fernando) Ro
driguez, Wesley (Amber)
Carter, Dewayne (Kaitlyn)
Hooten, Robert Bryant, Jr.
(Amber), Bradley Bryant,
Cassie Bryant, and Angel
Dallefeld. Fifteen great
grandchildren and numer

Mrs. Dorothy Lee
Monroe Aaron, age 89,
of Lyons, died on Thurs
day, February 4, 2021, in
the Community Hospice
House in Vidalia after a
brief illness.
Mrs. Aaron was a na
tive of Toombs County
and lived in Lyons for most
of her life. She worked at
Globe Manufacturing in
Vidalia for many years and
owned and operated Dot’s
Cafe in Lyons. She was the
last living charter mem
ber of East Gordon Street
Baptist Church in Lyons,
where she sang in the choir
and was a member of the
Women’s Missions Union.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Ezra J.
Aaron; her parents, Isaac
Monroe and Mariah Ste
phens Monroe; 1 son-in-
law, Bobby McNure; and 8
siblings, Isaac Monroe, Jr.,
D.CL Monroe, Leroy Mon

age 63, of Lyons, died on
Friday, February 5,2021, in
Meadows Health in Vidalia
after a brief illness.
Mr. Smith was a na
tive of Albany and lived
in Lyons since 1975. For
many years, he worked
with Painters Local 1169,
working at Plant Hatch and
Plant Vogel before retiring.
He was preceded in death
by his father, W.T. Smith,
and his mother, Julia Walk
er Parr.
Survivors include his

Williamson, age 85, of the
Racket Town Community,

after an extended illness.
Mrs. Williamson was
a native of Oak Park, living
in Summertown for many
years before moving to
Toombs County in 1961.
She was a homemaker and
was a member of Lower
Corinth Free Will Baptist
Church near Oak Park. She
was preceded in death by
her husband, Charlie Clyde
Williamson; her parents,
Roy Oglesby and Grace
Cowart Oglesby; and 2

and Roy Oglesby.

Mrs. Mary McIntyre
Mrs. Mary McIntyre,
age 76, ofVidalia, died on
Friday, February 4, 2021, at
the Community Hospice
House in Vidalia.
Mrs. McIntyre was a
native of Johnson County,
as a child moved to the
Dellwood Community in
Emanuel County and was
a 1962 graduate of Swains-
boro High School. She was
a licensed cosmetologist
and worked many years
with Georgia Ag Chem
and Spivey State Bank in
Swainsboro. Mary and her
husband traveled with his
career with Walmart and
ultimately made Vidalia
their home in 1994. She
started with the City ofVi
dalia as Administrative As
sistant to the city manager
and the mayor and retired
as city clerk. To many she
worked with at the city, she
was affectionately known
as “Queen Mary.” She was
a member of the Grace
Community Presbyterian
Church. She was preceded
in death by a granddaugh
ter, Anna Leigh Wells; her
parents, Evelyn and Os
car Price; 3 sisters, Arlene
Price Horton, Nelouise
Price Flanders and Shelby
Jean Price Smith; and 1
brother, Verlon Price.
Survivors include her
husband, Marvin McIntyre
