Mr. Jesse Taylor
Mr. Jesse Albert Tay
lor, age 82, ofVidalia, died
on Tuesday, February 16,
2021, at Meadows Health
in Vidalia after a brief ill
ness.
Mr. Taylor was a na
tive of Hardee County, FL,
and was a 1957 graduate
of Hardee County High
School in Wauchula, FL.
He was a 1974 graduate
of Polk Vocational Tech
nical School as an electri
cian, and worked as a truck
driver for many years at
Rawls Truck
ing Company.
He lived in
Wauchula un
til he moved
to Vidalia in
2016. He attended Vidalia
Church of God and was a
U.S. Army veteran. He was
a member and secretary
of Experimental Airplane
Association for 25 years
and was Integral volunteer
leader in Lakeland, FL, Fly-
In for many years. Though
it was not completed, he
started building his own
experimental plane. He
was a machinist and would
make his own machines
when necessary. He was
preceded in death by his
parents, Odell Taylor, Sr.,
and Ethel Joiner Taylor,
and 1 sister, Jewell Mitch
ell.
Survivors include
2 children, Angela Tay
lor Beasley and husband
Dwayne of Vidalia, and
Michael Darian Taylor
and wife JoAnn of Alston;
2 brothers, Odell Taylor,
Jr., and Rick Taylor, both
of Wauchula; 4 grandchil
dren, Asbel Beasley and
wife Katie, Shyashton Car-
trette and husband Shawn,
all ofVidalia, Tracy Taylor,
(USN) Pensacola, FL, and
Alexys Beasley of Vidalia;
4 great-grandchildren, Ka-
mden and Micah Beasley,
and Legacy and Jonathan
Cartrette; and several niec
es and nephews.
The funeral service was
held on Saturday, February
20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in
the chapel of Ronald V.
Hall Funeral Home, with
Pastor Wayne Merritt offi
ciating. Burial followed in
the Georgia Veterans Me
morial Cemetery in Glen-
nville.
In lieu of flowers, the

Mrs. Velma Williamson
Mrs. Velma Right Wil
liamson, age 88, of Lyons,
died on Saturday, February
20, 2021, at the Communi
ty Hospice House in Vidalia
after a brief illness.
Mrs. Williamson was a
native of Toombs County,
living there most of her
life, and was a 1950 gradu
ate of Lyons High School.
She was a telephone opera
tor for Bell South in Vidalia
and Macon, worked with
Page’s Department Store in
Lyons as a bookkeeper, and
managed Western Union
and Vidalia Bus Station.
She was a member of the
First Baptist Church of Ly
ons and attended Fairview
Baptist Church of Lyons.
She was preceded in death
by her husband of 70 years,
Lee Williamson, Jr.; 1 great-
grandson, Austin Lane
McLendon; her parents,
Wesley Right and Ruby
Hadden Right; and 1 sister,
Carol Right.
Survivors include 2
daughters, Gail Pierce and
husband Robert, and Lisa
Smith and husband Dale,
all of Lyons; 1 foster daugh
ter, Sue Cooper of Hahira;
4 sisters, Mattie Benforado
of Raleigh, NC, Betty Page

the chapel of Ronald V. Hall

Glenn Russell officiating.
Burial followed in Lakeview
Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Thetis Miller
Blocker, age 87, ofVidalia,
died on Sunday, February
14, 2021, at Meadows Park
Health and Rehab in Vida
lia after an extended illness.
Mrs. Blocker was born
in Dublin; soon after, the
family moved to Montgom
ery County, and as a young
adult Mrs. Blocker moved
to Vidalia, where she lived
most of her life. She worked
and served several areas in
Vidalia over the span of her
life. She was an active mem
ber of the Vidalia Church of
God. She was a baker and
was known as the “Goodie
Lady” in Vidalia for more
than 50 years. She was pre
ceded in death by her hus
band, Rufus L. Blocker; 1
son, Jerry Miller; her par
ents, Jerry D. Miller and
Annie Lee Farmer Miller;
her stepfather, Andrew J.
Cannady; 2 sisters, Mattie
Jane Miller and Geraldine
Miller Jackson Nipper; and
6 brothers, Benjamin Mill
er, Charles Miller, Lamar
Miller, Andrew J. Miller,
and twin infant brothers.
Survivors include 4

Mr. Bill Adaway, age
76, of Alamo, died on
Wednesday, February 17,
2021, at Fairview Park
Hospital in Dublin after an
extended illness.
Mr. Adaway was a na
tive and resident of Texas
before moving to Alamo
in the 90’s. .
He worked in
construction
as a heavy
machine op
erator and
was a veteran of the United
States Army, having served
in the Vietnam War. He
was preceded in death by
his parents, N.B. and Daisy

Mr. Reginald Tyrone
“Re-Run” Langston of Ly
ons died on February 10,
2021, at his residence.
Mr. Langston was a
native of Toombs Coun
ty. He was a former cor
rections officer and was
an assistant manager at
Walmart in Swainsboro.

wife, Rachael Law Langs
ton; 3 sons, Actavious
Langston, Sheldon Ty

nald Tyrone “RJ” Langs

Mr. Joe Nelson
Mr. Joe Nelson, age 73,
of Lyons, died on Sunday,
February 14, 2021, at his
home after an extended ill
ness.
Mr. Nelson was a na
tive of Toombs County,
lived in Camden County
several years, and was a
1966 graduate of Camden
County High School. He
moved to Brunswick in
1968 and lived there un
til he returned to Toombs
County in 1996. He was a
U.S. Army veteran, worked
for Georgia
Power for 9
years, and
was owner
of Joe’s Ap
pliances for
several years while in
Brunswick. He was a mem
ber of Harden’s Chapel
United Methodist Church
and a former member of
Taylors United Methodist
Church of Brunswick. He
was a caregiver for both

Mr. Larry E. Sharp, age
62, of Abbeville, died on
Wednesday, February 10,
2021.
Mr. Sharp was preced
ed in death by his parents,
Otis and Georgia Sharp;
his wife, Tina Sharp; and 1
brother, Curtis Ford.

beth Lester of Jacksonville,
his mother, Tommie J. Nel

Mr. Lamar Stapleton
Mr. Lamar “Pee Wee”
Stapleton, age 80, of the
Orland Community of
Soperton, died on Sun
day, February 14, 2021, at
Community Hospice in
Vidalia.
Mr. Stapleton was born
in Johnson County and
grew up in the Rockledge
Community. He worked
at J.P. Fortsman’s Woolen
Mill as a fork lift operator
for over 30 years, retir
ing in 1979. He was a for
mer member of Snowhill
Church of God and was
presently a member of the
Soperton Church of God.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, Joe and
Lizzie Barber Stapleton;
his wife, Annie Bell Staple-
ton; and 5 siblings, Tal-
madge Miller, Hilton Mil-
er, Doyle Stapleton, Grace
Miller and Lucien Miller.
Survivors include 2
sons, Steven Stapleton
(Tonya), Dublin, and Phil
lip Stapleton (Jamie), Sop
erton; 4 grandchildren,
Chloe Stapleton, Jaicey
Stapleton, Coby Stapleton,
and Carson Richardson;
and numerous nieces and
nephews.

“Randy” Wilson, Jr., age
55, of the Aline Commu
nity in Candler County,
died on Sunday, February
21, 2021, at his home after
a sudden illness.
Mr. Wilson was a na
tive of Oak Park, living
there, Normantown and
Aline all of his life. He was
a truck driver and heavy
equipment operator. He
was preceded in death by
his mother, Betty William
son Wilson.
Survivors include his
wife, Brenda Wilson of
Aline; 1 son, Claude Ran
dell “Trey” Wilson III and
wife Jessica, and 1 grand
daughter, Ava Wilson, all
of Swainsboro; and his
father, Claude “Randell”
Wilson, Sr., and 1 sister,
Sharon Wilson, both of
Oak Park.
