Here’s How It Works:
Sudoku puzzles are formatted as a 9x9 grid, broken down into nine
3x3 boxes. To solve a sudoku, the numbers 1 through 9 must fill each
row, column and box. Each number can appear only once in each row,
column and box. You can figure out the order in which the numbers will
appear by using the numeric clues already provided in the boxes. The
more numbers you name, the easier it gets to solve the puzzle!

FUNERAL HOME
"Memories, of a Lifetime of Love"
Nitty
continued from page 6A
was one of the greatest
books ever published. It
went through innumerable
editions; it reflected in a
marvelous way the spirit of
the age that produced it,
and contributed, perhaps
more than any other book
except the Bible, to the
molding of those sturdy
generations that gave to
America its liberty and its
institutions.”
You know, folks, those
sturdy generations, which
included some of our
founders and early leaders,
referenced in the above
paragraph, were men and
women who are head and
shoulders above the leaders
we have today. Just the
other day someone asked
me what I thought of our
current leadership in
Washington.
“Well,” I said, “in my
opinion, our Washington
leadership is a lot like a big
oak tree that’s surrounded
by a lot of pecan trees.” He
then said, “I don’t
understand what you
mean.” Then I said, “To put
it in real simple terms —
we finally [had] a big
Conservative tree in the
White House, but
unfortunately, it’s mostly
surrounded by a bunch of
liberal nuts.”
I’ll close with a little
trivia. Do you know what
the letters “S-O-S” stand
for? Well, they don’t stand
for anything. The letters
were chosen for Morse
Code as a distress signal
because of their simplicity
— “three dots, three
dashes and three dots.”
By the way, the
alphabet letter “T” in the
Primer is “‘Trust in God at
all times, ye people, pour
out your hearts before
him.” ...

Mrs. Courtney Flanders
Courtney Virginia
Flanders was born Septem
ber 19, 1975, in Savannah,
Georgia, to Dorsey Flan
ders and Glenda Jacobs.
Courtney was an amazing
spirit who, with her infec

heart, made everything
and everyone she en
countered brighter. In her
youth, Courtney earned
a degree in Psychology
from Mercer University in
Macon. While at Mercer,
Courtney served as a re
search assistant to the psy

was a published coauthor
on multiple papers. Upon
graduation, Courtney con

She cherished the friend

ability to place the lives of
her children first, even with
the demands of her career,
is just one example of her
unwavering love for and
commitment to her chil

all things water, the beach
and deep-sea fishing, is an
appreciation she passed on
to her daughters, but she
equally enjoyed a leisurely
day of snuggling and scary
movie marathons with her
girls.
Courtney and Dan met
many years ago at North
east Georgia Medical Cen

colleagues. Their obvious
chemistry and love came
easily as it was based upon
many years of true friend
ship. They married in April
2018, and Courtney ex
panded her family with
“bonus children” Ellie (10)
and Rocco (9). She was the
glue which blended a fam
ily, four loved children and
many grandparents, aunts,
uncles and cousins.
The tragedy of their
untimely deaths is a blow
felt throughout this com
munity Courtney will
be deeply missed by the
boards she served upon,
her church family at
Corinth Baptist Church,
her children’s school
where she volunteered, her
