Miss Kendria Bryant
Miss Kendria Leigh
Bryant, age 24, of Lyons,
died on Friday, August 13,
2021, at Memorial Health
Meadows Hospital in Vida-
lia after a brief illness.
Miss Bryant was a na
tive of Lyons, and was a
2015 Honor Graduate
of Toombs County High
School. She was Baptist by
faith; and she enjoyed danc
ing and singing. She was a
bright shining star that is
now shining in Heaven. She
was preceded in death by
her father, Kenny Bryant.
Her family includes her
mother, Janet Powell Bryant
of Lyons; 1 brother, Kerry
Bryant of Lyons; 1 sister,
Rhonda Bryant Ihibault
and husband Keith of Win
chester, TN; aunts and un
cles, Sharon Griffin of the
Stuckey Community, Linda
Gantjos and husband Steve
of St. Augustine, FL, Lorine
Durrence, Buck Bryant and
wife Jean, and Karen An
derson and husband Phillip,
all of Lyons; and numerous
cousins.
A graveside funeral ser
vice was held on Sunday,
August 15, 2021, at 4:00
p.m., in the Stuckey Bap
tist Church Cemetery near
Glenwood, with Pastor Ef-
ton Green officiating.

Mr. Lance G. Keaton,
age 56, of Vidalia, died on
Tuesday, August 10, 2021,
after an extended illness.
Mr. Keaton was a native
of Douglas, a 1983 graduate
of Atkinson County High
School, and later graduated
from Wiregrass Technical
College. He was employed
by Vidalia City Schools per
forming maintenance. Prior
to that, he was employed by
South Georgia State Col
lege in Douglas and moved
to Vidalia in 2019. He was
a member of The Sanctuary
in Douglas, and attended
Cedar Crossing Church of
God. He was preceded in
death by his parents, James
Archie Keaton and Sandra
Jean Kelly Keaton.
His family includes
his wife, Rhanita Dees Ke
aton of Vidalia; 2 brothers,
Layne Keaton and wife
Toni of Pearson, and Larry
Keaton of Columbus; and
several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was
held on Friday, August 13,
2021, at 1:00 p.m., in the
chapel of Ronald V. Hall
Funeral Home, with Pastor
Steven Toole, Pastor Bob
Powell and Pastor Wesley
Woods officiating. Burial
followed in the Hardens
Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Don Yeomans
Mr. Don Yeomans,
age 52, of Lyons, died on
Wednesday, August 11,
2021, at Candler County
Hospital in Metter after a
brief illness.
Mr. Yeomans was a
native of Toombs County,
grew up in Lyons, and
lived most of his life in Ce
dar Crossing and Lyons.
He worked as a lineman
with Georgia Power and
Altamaha EMC, and pre
viously worked as a long
distance truck driver. He
was a member of Cobb
Creek Baptist Church and
attended the Oasis Church
of God in Lyons. He was
preceded in death by his
father, Steven Michael
“Steve” Yeomans.
His family includes 3
children, Chazz Yeomans
of Lyons, Samantha Ball
of Auburn, GA, and Triniti
Yeomans of Reidsville; his
mother, Linda Wooten
Webber of Lyons; 3 grand
children, Aurora Clark,
Gabriel Clark, and Elijah
Clark; and several aunts,
uncles, nieces and neph
ews.
The funeral service
was held on Sunday, Au
gust 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.,
in the chapel of Ronald V.
Hall Funeral Home, with
Bishop Gilbert Wommack
and Pastor Russell Wooten
officiating.

Mr. Robert “Bob”
Whitaker, age 72, of Vida
lia, died on Friday, August
13, 2021, at Memorial
Health Meadows Hospital
in Vidalia, after a brief bat
tle with Covid.
Mr. Whitaker was a
native of Treutlen County,
and grew up there and
Montgomery County. He
was a U.S. Army veteran,
and served two tours of
duty in Viet
nam. He was
a member of
Veterans of
Foreign Wars
and Ameri
can Legion,
serving as secretary for
both. He moved to the At
lanta area in the mid 1970s,
retired from MARTA as
Building Maintenance
Supervisor after 25 years,
and lived in Vidalia since
2011. He was a deacon
and member of Blockers
Chapel Methodist Church,
a member and past camp
commander of Robert A.
Toombs Camp #932, a
Georgia Sons of Confed
erate Veterans 6th Brigade
Commander, as well as
a member of the Mecha
nized Cavalry. He was pre
ceded in death by his first
wife, Shirley Christopher
Whitaker; 1 son, Greg
Cooper; 1 grandson, Cole
Whitaker; his parents, El-
zie and Margaret Whitak
er; and 2 sisters, Mae Poole
and Ellen Ogle.
His family includes
his wife, Nell Whitaker; 6
children, Teresa Waggie

Mrs. Mary M. McFall,
age 84, of the Rock Springs
Community, died on Tues
day, August 10, 2021, at
Memorial Health in Savan
nah after an extended ill
ness.
Mrs. McFall was
born in Kilgore, TX, and
raised in Denver, CO, and
Canton, TX. She lived in
Ocoee, FL, for 30 years
before moving to Toombs
County in 2005. She was a
homemaker and attended
Cornerstone Pentecos
tal Church in the South
Thompson Community.
She was preceded in death
by her husband, Robert
Lloyd McFall, Sr.; 1 daugh
ter, Carolyn Sue McFall; 1
son-in-law, Winston Love;
her parents, Edward Da
vid Riley and Pauline Ben
son Riley; and 2 brothers,
Glenn Charles Riley and
Michael David Riley.
Her family includes

Ms. Erin Harbison
McKinnon, age 41, ofjack-
sonville, FL, died suddenly
on August 3, 2021.
Ms. McKinnon was
a lifelong resident of
Jacksonville. She gradu
ated from The Foundation
Academy in Jacksonville
and studied at Jacksonville
University. She was em
ployed by Home Depot
in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
She was preceded in death
by her father, Andrew Lynn
Harbison.
Survivors include her
mother and stepfather,
Kristin Nelson and Bemie
Nelson of Vidalia; 1 step
brother, Chris Nelson; 1
stepsister, Jennifer Sransky;
2 aunts, Linda Lockwood
and Scottie Plappert; and 1
cousin, Donna Walker.
Due to COVID con
cerns, a memorial service

Mrs. Carolyn Yvonne
Outler, age 88, of Cherry
Log, passed away on Au
gust 5, 2021, at her resi
dence.
Our mother was a lov
ing, caring and selfless light
to this world. She loved
anything that was colorful
and she loved her Lord.
She was essential in giving
her children a strong foun
dation. She retired from
AJCC as assistant to the
Principal. She was born in
Jacksonville, FL, on July 3,
1933, to the late John and
Eula Hicks Ramsey. She
passed at home with all of
her children. She fought a
long battle with Alzheim-
ers disease. She is preceded
in death by her husband,
Ralph G. Outler, Sr.; her
son, Ralph G. Outler, Jr;
and her grandson, Cory
Outler.
Mrs. Outler is sur
vived by her children, Mr.
and Mrs. John L. Outler of
Cumming, GA; Janan Out
ler O’Saile of Cherry Log;
and Mr. and Mrs. Mark A.
Rice (Jane) of Acworth,
GA; five grandchildren,
John, Kelly, Luke, Gar
rett, and Alston; and one
great-granddaughter, Zetta
Dove.

died on Wednesday, Au

Mrs. Wood was born in
Soperton, where she grew
up and attended school.
She served the community
as a pastor’s wife and as
a Parapro in the Treutlen
County School System,
working with special needs
children, and retired in
2017. She was a member of
Union Grove Calvary Ho
liness Church in Wrights-
ville. She was preceded in
death by her parents, Rev.
Edward D. and Almeta
Jones Ely; her husband,
Larry Phillip Wood; and
4 siblings, Billy, Donnie,
Garland and Junell Ely.
Survivors include her
children, Rachael Had
ley (Joey), and Rev. Josh
Wood (Dana), all of Sop
erton; siblings, Jean Ken

Adrian, died on Friday, Au
gust 13, 2021, at Fairview
Park Hospital in Dublin.
Mrs. Febus-Aponte
was bom in Dublin and
was raised in Soperton.
She was a 1995 graduate
of Treutlen County High
School. She had worked at
Vidalia Glass for a period
of time before becoming
a contractor working as a
senior customer support
consultant and supervisor.
She had attended Black-
ville Church of God and
most recently the Soperton
Church of God.
Survivors include her
husband, David Febus-
Aponte, Adrian; her chil
dren, Zachary Lane Gillis,
Adrian, Ariel Harriett Gil
