It was a busy week for
the Toombs County High
School Bulldogs basket
ball teams as they took on
East Laurens, Jeff Davis,
and Tattnall County The
girls dropped two games
with the boys falling in all
three.
Girls vs. E. Laurens
It was a close game,
but the Lady Bulldogs
pulled out the win. TCHS
was on top 10-8 at the
end of the first quarter. In
the second with a 14-13
lead, Aniyah Mckinnon
hit a three-pointer to
push the lead to 17-13.
The Lady Falcons came
back, though, and at half
time Toombs was on top
19-17.
In the third quarter
the Falcons took the lead
and were on top 31-30
heading to the final pe
riod. Toombs came back
in the fourth and took the
lead. They outscored East
Laurens 16-11 in the final
quarter to take a 46-42
win.
Boys vs. E. Laurens
The boys game
against the Falcons went
to overtime before a win
ner was decided. The Fal

end of the first, but TCHS
came back in the second
to tie the game at half
time, 24-24.
In the third and
fourth the score went
back-and-forth. At the
end of the third it was
tied, 40-40, and at the
end of regulation the
score was 49-49.
That sent the game to
overtime. In that over
time period the Falcons
took the win, 56-54. DJ
McKinney led the Bull
dogs with 22 points with
Brandon Upshaw adding
9 in the loss.
Girls vs. JD
Toombs fought, but
came up just short to the
Lady Yellow Jackets. Early
in the second quarter
Toombs was down 13-6.
It was 21-13 with Toombs
trailing after a three-
pointer by Jazmin Dasher,
but Jeff Davis held a 25-
16 lead heading to half
time.
In the third quarter
Toombs had closed the
lead to 29-21, and then it
was 37-29 after another
three by Dasher. And that
was the score at the end
of the third quarter.
In the fourth Toombs
made a run. With the
score at 41-35, Ziahya
Griffin hit a three to close
it to 41-38. But the Lady
Bulldogs ran out of time
on the comeback as they
fell 46-41.

against the Jackets,
Toombs was down 11-8
at the end of the first

closer, but still lost their
game against the War
