The Toombs County
Middle School competi
tive cheerleaders have
overcome many obstacles
this year. From getting a
new coach mid-summer to
having over half of the
team members being com
pletely new to competitive
cheerleading, they have
still managed to success
fully compete against
many veteran teams this
season.
TCMS competed at
Swainsboro High School
on November 1 for the
Southeast Georgia Middle
School Competitive Cheer
Region Championship. At
this event, they competed
against several solid cheer
programs from Southeast
Georgia.
Despite this fact, the
TCMS Cheer Dawgs were
successful in receiving
their highest score of the
year. Toombs County
Middle School Cheer
Dawgs are the 2022 South
east Georgia Middle
School Competitive Cheer
Champions.

Telfair took the lead
in the first quarter with
two touchdowns to hold

in the second quarter to
close the lead to 14-6.
Just a few minutes
later the Trojans were in
the end zone again on a
rushing touchdown.
That increased their lead
to 21-6. Telfair pushed
the lead to 27-6 with less
than six minutes to go in
the first half, and then
with less than two min
utes on the clock, made
it 34-6.
The Vikings added

the score 34-14.
But the Trojans an

with just seconds to play
as they took a 41-14 lead
into halftime.
In the second half of
the game the Vikings
picked up one more
score, but Telfair rolled
to a 62-22 win over
