scoring in the contest.
There were seven scor
ers for Monday's game. Se
niors Abbie Bishop, Em
mie Lynn, Mary-Claire
Wolfe, and Marli Dryden
all scored one goal. Fresh
man Madaline Wolfe,
sophomore Kylie Acosta,
and senior Amily Mixon all
scored two goals through
out the game.
The RTCA Crusaders
also played Monday host
ing the defending State
Champions as a State
Championship rematch
between these two teams.
The Crusaders came up
short with a 0-5 loss to the
Highlanders.
Head Soccer Coach,
Matt Meeks, said, “I know
this team has more to give,
and I’m eager to see us
grow. We possessed the
ball well and had numer
ous attacking chances but
just couldn’t find the back
of the net. It’s only game
two, and we have a lot of
soccer left to play.”

THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LYONS, GEORGIA
Will receive bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and services re
quired to construct: LYONS HOUSING AUTHORITY, IQC, TASK 12, LYONS,
GEORGIA - 2117, consisting of modifications to install exterior doors & windows
and rebuild a duplex.
Bids will be received until 2:00 PM Local Current Standard Time on April 6, 2023,
at the Resident Services Building of the Lyons Housing Authority at 165 East Wes
ley Avenue, Lyons, Georgia. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened
and read aloud. Proposals submitted by mail should be addressed to the Lyons
Housing Authority, 208 North Lanier Street, Lyons, Georgia 30436 and plainly
marked as indicated in the Instructions to Bidders, Section OB.
Proposed Contract Forms, Drawings and Specifications are on file at the office of
the Architect, SRJ Architects Inc., 1108 Maryland Drive, Albany, Georgia 31707,
telephone (229) 436-9877.
Two copies of the documents may be obtained by Prime Contractors by deposit
ing $150.00 with the Architect for each set of documents so obtained. Prime Con
tractors who return the documents complete and in good condition within ten
days after the bid opening will be refunded their full deposit. If documents are
not returned, the entire deposit will be forfeited. Prime Contractors may purchase
additional sets, and subcontractors and material suppliers may purchase sets of
the documents for the cost of reproduction which is $150.00 per set. This is not re
fundable. No partial sets will be issued. Shipping charges are in addition to deposit.
Checks shall be made payable to the Lyons Housing Authority.
Documents may also be obtained from the Architect electronically in a .pdf for
mat, for which a deposit will not be required. No partial sets will be issued. Prime
Contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers who obtain documents in this
manner are responsible for providing their full company name, mailing address,
email address, phone number, and fax number to the Architect. Prime Contrac
tors, subcontractors, and material suppliers who obtain documents in this manner
are also fully responsible for verifying that they have received a complete set of the
Contract Forms, Drawings and Specifications.
A certified check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit
Insurance Corporation, payable to the Housing Authority or satisfactory bond exe
cuted by an acceptable surety on the Bid Bond form contained in the Specifications,
or other form acceptable to HUD and the LHA, and in an amount equal to five
percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will
be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond(s)
in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. All sureties must be authorized to
transact business in the State of Georgia and must be listed on the U.S. Treasury
Department Circular No. 570 (most current list), published annually listing com
panies approved to act as surety on bonds securing government contracts, and said
surety or sureties must be in accordance with maximum underwriting limits on
each contract as specified in the above mentioned Circular No. 570.
Before the opening of bids, bidders or their representatives may attend a Prebid
Conference with representatives of the LHA and the Architect. The conference will
serve to allow bidders to visit the site(s) and address questions to the LHA and
Architect.
The Prebid Conference will be held March 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM Local Current
Standard Time at the Resident Services Building of the Lyons Housing Authority at
165 East Wesley Avenue, Lyons, Georgia.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as
set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this Project.
The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
informalities in the bidding.
No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the open
ing of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority.

younger players game time
experience. The Lady Cru
saders got one more goal
from freshmen Madaline
Wolfe with 20 minutes left
in the game.
The VHA Eagles
snuck in a goal late in the
game making the final, 4-1,
in favor of the Lady Cru
saders.
This week RTCA took
on McIntosh County
Academy on Monday and
Trinity of Dublin on Tue-
sady, both after presstime.
They will be back in action
on Wednesday against Da
vid Emanuel.
On Tuesday, March
14, the Toombs County
High School track and
field team was finally
able to open its season at
Appling County High
School.
Overall, the teams
performed well with
wins and top three per
formances in several
events including the girls
shot put and discuss,
boys shot put and dis
cuss, boys 100m dash,
and 300m hurdles. The
relay teams on both the
boys and girls teams
looked pretty good for
their first time out com
peting against other
schools.
Toombs County
track and field will be
back in action this week
at Jeff Davis High School.

Description: Stadium Paving Project
General Information:
The Montgomery County School District is accepting proposals for a concrete job in the stadium to
include walkways, concession pad, and 2 sets of steps. The scope of the project will include
approximately 5,500 square feet of concrete, with no greater than a 1 in 20 slope from the ticket
booth to field level. Contractors should visit the site to determine the scope of the project. Contact

3. Timeline to be completed: negotiable
4. 3 businesses references
5. Evidence of having completed similar projects
The School District has the authority to waive any technicalities or informalities and has the right to
reject all bids or proposals that are non-responsive or not responsible. Further, the School District
may issue change orders altering the original scope of work to address changes or unforeseen
conditions necessary for the project completion.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is 12:00 PM, March 31. 2023.
