The primary responsibility for this position will include operating a dump
truck and performing other tasks as assigned by the County’s Road
Superintendent.
The successful applicant will be required to have:
• Valid Georgia Commercial Drivers License-Class A or B
• Complete a successful background check
• Good driving history
• Attitude of cooperation and teamwork
Motor Grader Operator
The primary responsibility will be to grade the county’s dirt roads.
The successful applicant will be required to do some maintenance of
equipment and performing other tasks as assigned by the County’s Road
Superintendent.
The successful applicant will be required to have:
• Motor grader operator experience
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License
• Complete a successful background check
• Good driving history
• Attitude of cooperation and teamwork
The County’s benefits include competitive pay, a 401(a) defined

MONTGOMERY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY WORKS DIRECTOR
The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners is accepting applications to fill
the position of County Works Director. This position is responsible for scheduling,
assigning, and supervising the work of road construction and maintenance crews,
supervising the county’s solid waste collection and recycling centers, and supervising
the maintenance and repair of county owned buildings and grounds. This position
consolidates the positions of Road Superintendent, Solid Waste Director and Direc
tor of Buildings & Grounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of a
high school diploma or GED.
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and
functions of the road department, solid waste services department and repair
and maintenance activities of the county’s buildings and grounds.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the
State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
• Possession of GDOT approved traffic flagging certification within twelve (12)
months from the date of hire.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
