As required by O.C.G.A. § 36-37-
6(c), the City of Mount Vernon
provides public notice of a pro
posed exchange or trade of mu
nicipal-owned real property for
other real property. In particular,
the City of Mount Vernon is ex
changing two contiguous tracts of
land located on the west side of
Railroad Avenue, taxed as Map/
Parcel MV04 031 and MV04 032
and additional funds (‘‘exchanged
property”) to Mount Vernon Bank
for the improved tract of land
containing 0.775 acres, more or
less, being known as the 101 S.
Railroad Avenue Branch of Mount
Vernon Bank, which is taxed as
Map/Parcel MV04 034 (“replace
ment property”). The City of
Mount Vernon is receiving a
$93,000.00 credit for the ex
changed property against the
purchase price of the replace
ment property, which is intended
to be the location of a new mu
nicipal complex. As required by
applicable law, the value received
for the exchanged property is
equal to or greater than the fair
market value of the
exchanged property. The closing
of the exchange shall be after this
notice has been published in this
legal organ for four weeks, but
within six weeks after December
13, 2023. For further inquiries,
