A delicious repast consisting of con grape fruit, chicken, back bone, greens, rice, gelatine, ambrosia, Ice cream, cake, custards was served. Those present were: Madames Susie x Hill, Jannie Smith, Mr. Will Hili, Sarah Mumford, Lila Favors, Essie B. Watkins, Master David Foster. Miss Hassie Wallice, of Elber ton, Georgia, spent the holidays with her Mrs. Essie Watkins, of 422 Billups street. * Miss Annie B. Houston was hostess to the S. Y. S. Club on Tuesday night, Dec. 27, 1921. Serveral games were played and the rest bf the time was spent in dancing. After this a menu of chicken salad, sliced ham, beaten biscuits, jello with whipped cream cake and fruits of all kind were THE A T HENS REPUB LIQ U E Farmers to Set Price for their Cotton A great effort is being put forth by men of both races throughout Georgia to organize the farmers that they might sell their cotton in tellenily. The co-operative market of cotton will give the farmers the chance to set the price on Ins cotton. At Center, Ga., December 19th, the Hons T. S. Johnson and J. C. Turner, both bankers of Jed'erson, delivered excellent addresses explaining h w this can be accomplish >d. The address of Mr. John son was a masterpiece and his hearers realized that he spoke from the sincerity of his heart. Men of all trades, through union, have forced a living waste. Let the farmers organize and thus b ead the chain of dependence. Those present were: Mr.‘and Mrs. Tom Jackson Misses Florine and Basalena Eider, Messrs Willie Few Rufus Johnsen, Samuel and Loyd Jackson, Dr. Jackson and others. A delicious menu of scolloped oys-ers, hot chocolate, cake and fruits. All reported a fine time.
