THE ATHENS REPUBLIQUE GREENBOSO NEWS Mrs. A. T. Chisholm and- Miss Carrie L. Byrd gave a family din ner on December 30th. The table was beautifully decorat-d > * * with two large turkeys with dressing. Other parts of the sumptuous repart were: mustard, pickle, light rolls, jello with cream and cake. Those present were: Miss Ada Ward, Prof. Thomas Brown, Mr. C. O. Harris, Miss Jessie Jernigan, Mrs. Paschal, of Uni < n Point, Ga. After the service Miss Bryd had lots of fun making snapshots of the “Happy Bnuck.” ECHOES FROM MADISON On the 28th uh uno Rev. and Mrs. M. L. Fambrough entertain ed a large number of friends at their home, Mrs. Fn mb rough’s sister, Miss Maiia Lowe, was the honor guest. At this feast Rev. G. L. Allen announced Miss Low’s marriage to Mr. John Flournoy on September 7, 1921, th > Rev. Mr. I. H. Styles having ofli dated The announcemence came as a great surprise to all present. After the friends rec wered from the shock a repast of turkey salad ice cream, cake and chicken was served. With bounteous “esprit de crops,” the friends wished Mr. and Mrs. Flournoy a long and happy life. Mrs. Evvie Rjbinson, of 420 C eveland avenue, spent Wednes day January 4th, with her friend, Mrs. J. W. Gaines, of Route 5. Mrs. Lizzie Ray was also present. A delightful time was spent, in the course of which a four course dinner was served. Little M'ss Helen Lamar Pierce, of 1185 Hancock avenue, spent the ho.idayfi with her grand mother, on Broad street. Mrs. F. S. Handsome, of Atlan ta, Georgia, a deaconess in the C. M.
