Yargo plans family event Nov. 23 Fort Yargo State Park, Winder, will hold its Cyclocross Race on Sunday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature hay- rides, storytelling by the camp fire, children’s games and viewing of the restored Old Fort by candlelight. Volunteer drivers needed for veterans Volunteers are being sought to drive two vans available to take veterans to Athens, Augusta and Atlanta for medi cal services. The Disabled Veterans Association acquired the vans and they are fully equipped and insured. One van is kept in Jackson County, while the other one is in Clarke County.
