Saturday, Dec. 13, Breakfast with Santa and the public is welcome. Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 17 and 18, Christmas Program will be presented. Auburn Seventh-day Adventist Church will host a “Christmas Vacation Bible School” Friday through Sunday, Dec. 12 - 14, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. nightly. This is for late preschool through elementary school aged chil dren. Leaders stated, “This is a great opportunity for chil dren to have fun learning the Christmas story. Calvary Baptist Church, Statham, will present the Christmas cantata “Then Jesus Came” Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13 and 14, at 7 p.m. nightly. The cantata was written by Ron and Shelly Hamilton and is about “the story of a journey to an old southern town where a church hires a young gospel-preaching pas tor, whose message angers some but changes others," leaders state. Union Baptist Church choir will present “The Christmas Post” Saturday, Dec. 12 and 13, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m. Tickets will be available soon. Corral” recently. Photos by Jessica Brown CLES students present western holiday musical In a delightful western holiday musi cal, County Line Elementary School’s 4th and 5th grades recently present ed, “Christmas at the O.K. Corral” under the direction of James Tanner, music teacher with set design by Kathy Walters, art teacher. The western-themed musical opens with the frontier townspeople and their animals gathered at the O.K. Corral near a small town called Snowy Gulch. With much anticipation and excite ment all of the townspeople have arrived to decorate for the upcoming BIG Christmas festival. It was Christmas Eve in the 1800s and Bubble Gum Bart, the bad guy, did his rootin-tootin’ best to stop Christmas. Luckily, his efforts were thwarted by the Candy Cane Kid, who courageously stood up to him and saved Christmas in the Old West! Under the western moon and stars, the entire cast and chorus declare, “Christmas in the West — is the best, is the best! Yippee yi yo wo!” “Christmas at the O.K. Corral” was written by Teresa Jennings. The characters were: Bubble Gum Bart played by A.J. Piccinone and Antonio Santibanez; Candy Cane Kid played by Destiny Sanchez and Mathew Meyer; Mrs. Mayor played by Caroline Cook and Tori McMillan; Mayor played by Tajir White and Brock Moon; Ralph Reindeer played by Huston Bruce and Calynn Singleton.
