I’m the mother of 6 teenage girls. By default, that makes me an
expert in many areas including food and nutrition, car
maintenance, fashion, romance, drama, education, travel and
current music. You might say I am a know-it-all.
How do I keep up with it all? I use the Barrow Journal. I don’t
just read it, I really USE it... I cut it up, use coupons, look for
sales. I follow the news about our schools, our neighbors and
and town. It’s my single most indispensable tool for keeping up
with 6 other people’s agendas.

The Student of the Month program is a long
standing tradition at County Line Elementary
School where each classroom teacher nomi
nates an Academic and a Citizenship represen
tative each month.
The CLES PTO sponsors the Student of the
Month program, and Stacy Roberts serves as
chairperson. Roberts, other PTO members, and
the CLES staff host two receptions and award
ceremonies each month, because of the many
students recognized through this program.
After a child is nominated a personalized
invitation for the designated ceremony goes
home to invite the child’s family to attend.
This is a highlight each month at CLES
because many family members make special
plans to attend, and the event provides a very
special childhood memory for all, school offi
cials said.

dents receive a personalized certificate and
