Barrow Journal Pats of the Week
KITTENS, KITTENS, KITTENS!
This little girl and her two equally
beautiful brothers are only three
of the many fine kittens available
for adoption at the Barrow County
Animal Control Shelter.
SAD SWEET SADIE
Sadie is an 11-year-old Schnauzer/
Poodle mix who was surrendered
by her family. She is spayed, super
friendly, smart, obedient and very,
very loving. Please help give her a
new home today!
SHE’S A BEAUTY
This pretty adult female Chocolate
Point Siamese/Tiger cat was sur
rendered by her owner. She is a
very friendly, super loving cat in
need of a new home right away!
SAVE THESE SISTERS
Lily and Lacy were just surren
dered. They are 7-year-old spayed
girls with the nicest personalities.
Please spread the word and help
them find a new home for both of
them.
SHE’S TOO OLD FOR THIS...
This 10+ year old female Beagle
is as sweet and loving as she can
be. Her owners surrendered her
and she has no idea why. She does
have some stiffness in her hips.
HARD TIMES
This elderly male Beagle mix is not
sure why he was surrendered, but
that hasn’t dampened his spirit.
Since he’s not used to the noise in
the shelter, he’s a little shy initially,
but he quickly warms right up.
BEAUTIFUL BOY
This big, friendly, young adult
Husky/Shepard mix was surren
dered by his owner. He is a very
smart dog who starts out a little
shy, but warms right up. He is a
really special dog who deserves a
second chance.
HAT A GOOD LITTLE BOY
This little, tiny, Brindle, Boxer/Pit
Bull mix male is as smart and calm
as a pup can be. He was surren
dered, in that huge collar, and is a
really special guy.
TOO CUTE
This enthusiastic little male Hound
mix pup is the perfect pet. He is
intelligent, loving and loyal with a
strong urge to please. He will need
a family willing to exercise and
train him.
GOOD GIRL FALLEN
ON HARD TIMES
This young adult female Lab/Pit
Bull mix is as friendly, intelligent
and sweet as she can be. She was
surrendered by her owners and
seems like a really great dog. Call
today to adopt her!
Adoption Updates:
Last week was a slow week for adoptions at the shelter. The little black Lab puppy featured last
week was adopted, but the rest of last week’s featured animals are still available. Hoping for homes
are: the sweet, neutered, male, brindle Pit Bull mix, the friendly, enthusiastic, young male Boxer,
the wonderful, brindle Pit Bull mix and the nice, adult, white cat. There are also several recently-
surrendered, adult cats, already spay-neutered who are available for free through Leftover Pets. For
more information contact: www.leftoverpets.org. Ask about the Barn Cat program. For information
on adopting any of the animals, contact the Barrow County Animal Control Shelter, 616 Barrow Park
Drive, Winder. Shelter hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Call 770-307-3012
for more information. If you adopt an animal from the Barrow shelter, send us a picture of you with your
