Jones Allen. Mr. Allen
was a Vietnam Veteran of

Jack Smith Beatty, 76,
died Sunday, October 30,
2011 at his residence.
He was born in Jackson
County the son of the
late Homer and Maude
Elizabeth Smith Beatty.
He was a member of Faith
Baptist Church
where he was a
former Sunday
School superintendent for
over 40 years. He was a
United States Navy vet
eran and was retired from
ZF Industry.
Survivors include his
wife, Lizzie Williamson
Beatty, Pendergrass;
daughters, Debra Ingram
and Jackie Hill, both
of Gainesville, Peggy
Godfrey, Pendergrass,
and Beverly Beauchamp
(Keith), Nicholson; nine
grandchildren, nine great
grandchildren; and a num
ber of aunts and uncles.

held Tuesday, November
1, from the chapel of

with Keith D. Cudd offici
ating. Interment was in
Pendergrass Cemetery

Laurie Bennett. Harold
served in the United States
Air Force, was a graduate
of Clemson
University,
and worked
as a salesman
for Agco, Inc for 40 years.
Mr. Bennett was preceded
in death by his daughter,
Samantha Bennett.
Survivors include his
wife of 46 years, Patricia
Harris Bennett; son, Mark
Bennett, Flowery Branch;
uncle, Tommy Bennett,
Mauldin, S.C.; and one
brother.

he was the son of the late
Roy Lester and Grace
Lee Bonds Davidson.
Mr. Davidson faithfully
served his country in the
United States Army as a
parachute
rigger during
the Vietnam
War. He was
retired having been self-
employed in construction
and was a motorcycle
enthusiast. Mr. Davidson
was preceded in death
by his brother, Lee Roy
Davidson.
Survivors include
daughters and son-in-
laws. Tonya and Michael
Phillips, Athens, Krissie
and Darius Butler, Villa
Rica; daughter, Kaitlyn
Walker, Fairburn; broth
er, Troy Davidson, Alto;

She was a nurse (LPN)
and was a member of
the Battle Branch Baptist
Church. Mrs. Dixon was
preceded in death by her
husband, Leamon (Red)
Dixon; a sister, Susie
Coffee; and three broth
ers, Jack Teague, Dewey
Teague and Bud Teague.
Survivors include a
daughter and her hus
band, Rebecca and Danny
Farmer, Danielsville;
brother, Ray Teague,
Highlands, Mich.; sis
ter, Jane Martindale,
Arkansas; grandchildren,
Charity Farmer Allen,
Todd Farmer and Dusty

Born in Walhalla, S.C.,
she lived in this area
since 1947. She was the
daughter of the late Albert
David and Middie Garrett
Vissage and was preceded
in death by her husband of
52 years, Lovic R. Hale,
Jr. Mrs. Hale retired from
the University of Georgia
and was a member of the
Prospect United Methodist
Church.
Survivors include
two children, Teresa
(Rick) Griggs, Athens,
and Wayne (Tina) Hale,
Watkinsville; four grand
children, Karen Carnes,
Stephen (Jennifer) Hale,
Allison (John) Lewis and
Andrea (Jonathan) Smith;

Greeson Hammond. She

served as the first woman
elder of this church. She
was devoted to her fam
ily, friends and church.
She graduated from
Statham High School.
Mrs. Williams was pre
ceded in death by her hus
band, Broadus “Briscoe”
Williams.
