Apalachee High School on
Haymon Morris Road, Winder.
A deputy was dispatched to the
school in reference to a refusal
to leave. No other details were
in the report.
•harassment on Phillipsburg
Drive, Winder. A woman said
she called 911 because she
has been getting harassed by
a number of salespersons try
ing to sell her a Kirby vacuum
cleaner.
•damaged property in the
Barrow Crossing parking
lot on Loganville Highway,
Bethlehem. A woman reported
a scratch on her driver's side
rear passenger door of her vehi
cle in the Publix parking lot.
•911 hang up calls on
Eastmont Road, Winder. A
woman said that she mistakenly
called 911 when she knocked
over her phone while attempt
ing to connect her computer.
•burglary at the Oriental
Kitchen restaurant on
Atlanta Highway, Winder.
Approximately $10 in change,
a GPS unit, a cell phone, a
screwdriver and a Leatherman
was taken. A K-9 unit respond
ed, but it could not find any
suspects.
•theft by taking on West
Winder Industrial Parkway,
Winder. A business owner
reported that someone had sto
len 40 aluminum panels off
the back of his truck that was
parked inside a fenced in area
in the rear of the business. The
total value on all the stolen
aluminum panels equals to
$15,400.
•a neighborhood complaint
on Ashton Way, Winder. A
woman said that her neighbors
have two dogs that bark all
night long, ran loose and terror
ize the neighborhood. A deputy
met with the neighbors who
reportedly own the dogs and
advised them of the complaint.
The owner said she would fix
the problems.
•a suspicious incident on
Fleeman Road, Hoschton. A
woman said she woke up to
a noise she heard across the
street and saw a man crouch
ing down behind her trash can
on the street. Then, she saw a
red sedan pull up and a female
driver she recognized as an old
neighbor was driving. A deputy
tried to locate the car, but was
unsuccessful.
•criminal trespass on
Plantation Road, Winder. A
woman said she came home to
find her mailbox was damaged
and the post was broken. She
valued the damage at $25.
•a suspicious incident on
Poplar Way, Winder. An anon
ymous caller reported a suspi
cious person at a vacant house.
A responding deputy met with
a real estate agent at the resi
dence who said he was there
to clean the carpet, paint the
interior and remove a tree from
the front yard.
•cruelty to children on
Charlie Hall Road, Hoschton.
A 71-year-old man was arrest
ed as primary aggressor after
deputies were dispatched to
a residence in reference to a
physical domestic dispute in
progress. No other details were
in the report.
•theft by taking on
Honeysuckle Trail, Winder. A
man called the sheriff's office
to report his wallet was miss
ing.
•a complaint on Booth Road,
Statham. A couple who owned
a mobile home on another per
son’s property said they were
asked by the land owner to tear
down and dispose of the mobile
home.
•theft by shoplifting at Wal-
Mart on Atlanta Highway,
Winder. A 19-year-old man
was arrested after a loss pre
vention employee called police
when he was observed stealing
“The Howling Reborn” DVD
from the store. A deputy found
the man in a nearby Game Stop
store and subsequently charged
him and took him to jail.
•a public drunk on Highway
211, Winder. A 36-year-old
woman was arrested after a
deputy saw her standing next
to the roadway walking back
and forth, acting extremely agi
tated. She said her 10-year-
old daughter was flying into
Hartsfield alone and she needed
her mother to pick her daughter
up from the airport. Apparendy,
the woman was upset because
her boyfriend had just broken
up with her. She was taken to
jail.
•criminal damage to property
on Tanglewood Drive, Auburn.
A woman reported her vehicle
was damaged while at a friend’s
residence and the total value of
damage was more than $500.
•simple assault on Glenmoor
Place, Winder. A 30-year-old
man was arrested after he
reportedly picked up a ham
mer and told his wife he would
break everything in the house
and smash the window to get
in the track.
•a suspicious incident on
Melinda Drive, Winder. A
woman said her front door was
wide open when she arrived
home that evening. There was
no sign of forced entry or of
any type of burglary.
•a suspicious incident on
Pleasant Hill Church Road,
Winder. A man said he was
reading a book in the living
room of his home when he
heard the doorknob on his rear
door jiggling and then what
sounded like a shoulder push
ing against the door.
•a 911 hang up on Bankhead
Highway, Winder. A woman
said she was home alone watch
ing a baseball game on TV
when she must have hit 911 by
accident when trying to re-dial
another number.
•criminal trespass on Dustin
Court, Bethlehem. A man said
while he was at work someone
damaged his back door. The
cost to repair the damage would
be $200.
•a DUI-multiple substances.
A 41-year-old woman was
arrested and charged with DUI,
driving while license suspend
ed, reckless driving and driving
on the wrong side of the road
after a deputy caught her going
down the wrong way of Ga.
Highway 316 straight toward
his patrol vehicle.
•a repossessed vehicle on
Parks Mill Road, Auburn. A
man called police after he woke
up to realize his Chevrolet
Malibu had been taken from
under his carport. After investi
gating, a deputy learned United
Recovery repossessed the car.
•recovered property on
Matthews School Road. An
inmate doing roadwork gave
a deputy a Georgia EBT card
he said he found in the area
of Bill Rutledge and Matthews
School Road. The cardholder
is also incarcerated. The EBT
card was entered into evidence.
•a wanted subject located
on McCarty Road, Statham. A
35-year-old man wanted on five
outstanding warrants for cruelty
to children, damage to property,
simple assault, 91 lcall interfer
ence and criminal trespass was
arrested and taken to jail.
•burglary on Redstone Court,
Winder. A woman reported
two firearms taken from her
residence from their respective
hiding places. The woman did
not name any suspects, due to
them possibly being friends of
her boyfriend.
•a suspicious incident on
Pressley Road, Winder. An
unidentified caller summoned
deputies to investigate a U-Haul
trailer with Illinois tags backed
into an unmarked driveway.
There were no reports of forced
entry, theft or damage to the
trailer.
•suspicious activity on Mary
Jane Way, Winder. A woman
called police to report a person
shining a flashlight in the back
yard of her residence. A deputy
responded and did not notice
anyone. The woman was told
to call 911 if she saw the light
again.
•criminal trespass on
Rosewood Circle, Winder. A
woman said someone tried to
force the door to an outbuilding
in her backyard open. The dam
age was valued at $100.
•a 911 hang up on Tanners
Bridge Road, Bethlehem.
A woman apparently called
911 several times because
she thought her grandson was
being attacked by dogs, but that
turned out to be false.
•simple battery on Carl-
Bethlehem Road, Bethlehem.
A 38-year-old man was arrest
ed after one of his family mem
ber’s called 911 to report his
aggressive behavior toward his
girlfriend.
•obstruction on Horton Street,
Winder. A deputy unsuccess
fully tried to pursue whom he
believed to be a fugitive male.
A K9 unit also assisted, but
unsuccessfully.
•criminal trespass on
Mulberry Road, Winder. A
man said he called 911 because
someone was trying to steal his
air conditioner unit from the
window of his residence.
•recovered property on North
Broad Street, Winder. A man
brought in a wallet contain
ing a Georgia Driver's license.
The owner was contacted and
retrieved the wallet.
•criminal trespass on East
Midland Avenue, Winder. A
woman called 911 because a
man who is subletting the resi

house before she moved out. A
deputy told the man the dispute
is a civil issue and to contact
magistrate court.
•a DUI-alcohol on Ga. Hwy.
316 at Hwy. 81. A 25-year-old
woman was arrested after a
deputy on patrol stopped her
for going 91 mph. The woman
was arrested for suspicion of
DUI and taken to jail.
•a suspicious incident on
Dunahoo Road, Winder. A man
called 911 to report he was on
his couch in his residence when
he looked out the window and
saw someone walking across
his property near the roadway
with a flashlight. A responding
deputy checked the area and
did not locate anything appear
ing suspicious. The man was
told to call 911 if he saw the
light again.
•criminal trespass on Cedar
Creek Road, Winder. A man
said several links had been filed
down in his chain link fence
and two floodlights were miss
ing from the property.
•theft by taking on Tanners
Bridge Circle, Bethlehem. A
deputy responding to a report of
a domestic dispute was flagged
down by a Hispanic male who
said a woman was evicted and
several of her items was miss
ing from the residence. The
woman who was evicted is
in the BCDC. Approximately
$1,500 worth of televisions was
reported missing.
•reckless conduct on Tori
Drive, Winder. A 29-year-old
man was arrested for driving
a golf cart under the influence
of several beers after his sister,
a passenger of the golf cart,
who was also reportedly intoxi
cated, fell off the cart. Deputies
and medics found the female
lying on the ground, bleeding
from her head. She was taken
to Athens Regional Medical
Center. The brother said his
sister fell off the golf cart when
he made a sharp mm from Tori
Drive onto Trey Lane. He also
said he was driving the golf
cart because he thought he was
too intoxicated to drive a car.
Nothing further to report at this
time.
•criminal trespass on Lisa
Circle, Winder. A woman called
police after an unknown cou
ple of white males reportedly
rang her doorbell furiously and
banged their fists on the door
for five minutes. The woman
said instead of answering the
door she went to another room
and looked out through the
window to see who it was. The
males reportedly met up with a
female neighbor.
•a warrant service on Monroe
Highway at Walton County
Line. A sheriff's deputy met
with a Walton County Sheriff’s
deputy to pick up a 20-year-old
female who had a valid warrant
out of Barrow County for drag
court.
•a child safety check at Wal-
Mart on Atlanta Highway,
Winder. A deputy was dis
patched to a report of a child
asleep alone in the font seat of
a 2003 Ford F-150. The deputy
looked inside and saw the child,
as well as an older child in the
back seat. The owner of the
track returned and verified that
the child in the front seat was
five-years-old and the child in
the backseat was 13-years-old.
The man said he briefly left
both children in the track to go
inside Wal-Mart to return mov
ies and immediately returned.
He said he thought the 13-year-
old was old enough to look
after the younger child, but he
would not do it again.
•burglary at Swan Nails on
Atlanta Highway, Winder. A
store employee called 911
when she arrived to open the
business up that morning and
found the door lock missing.
The following items were
reportedly stolen; a 32-inch
ProScan LCD TV, valued at
$525, a Compaq laptop valued
at $1,100, $87 cash in l’s and
5’s only and 36 bottles of nail
polish.
•an agency assist on Jefferson
Highway, Winder. A deputy
responding to a domestic dis
turbance between a mother and
a daughter met with a juvenile
at the address who said that her
mother and grandmother were
in a fight at her mother’s house
in Jefferson. Apparently, the
grandmother was hit in the face
and was having problems see
ing and was being taken to the
hospital. The deputy met with
the grandmother, who con
firmed the incident, and said
that her daughter suffers from
bi-polar disorder and is under
stress. The deputy advised the
woman to report the incident in
Jefferson where it occurred.
•a 911 hang up on Kailie
Drive, Winder. A homeown
er said he was attempting to
check the voice mail on his
home telephone but he forgot
to dial *99 before he entered
his pass code. He stated his
pass code has the numbers 911
in it and when he entered his
pass code the telephone acci
dentally contacted central.
•entering auto on Matthews
School Road, Winder. A man
said someone stole his vehi
cle's Alpine in-dash CD player/
stereo valued at $120 from his
unlocked Chevrolet Blazer that
was parked on the driveway in
front of his residence.
•a complaint on Burson
Maddox Road, Winder. A man
who said he has custody of his
seven-year-old daughter said
the child's mother has been
sending text messages saying
that she is going to come get
the child from school. A dep
uty told the man to contact an
attorney and notified the child’s
school of the situation.
