Bom in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Alfonzo and Minnie Ruth Segars Willoughby and was retired from Belks Department Store. Mrs. Eberhart was preceded in death by her husband, Emory Eberhart. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Mike Jackson and Sharon and Mike Page, all of Winder; companion, Jimmy Hardegree and family; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Sonny Willoughby, Milledgeville; and a sis ter, Betty Hunter, Winder. Funeral services were held Friday, November 9, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Revs. John Talley and James A. Yopp officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens. She was bom in Crawford, Dawes County, Neb., and was the daughter of the late Earl Joseph and Ada Mae Vaughn Boesl She was a member of the New Pentecost United Methodist Church. Mrs. Spurlin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glen Spurlin Sr.; and a son, David C. Spurlin. Survivors include sons, Robert “Bob” G. Spurlin Jr., Marvin Spurlin, both of Winder; daughters, Ada Mae Brown, Loganville, Marcia Ann Gandy and Mattie Rose Onego, both of Winder; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Manuel, Canbury, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. Bom in Jackson County, he was the son of the late John Henry and Fois A. Fagan Cronic. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, the Jaycees, and was a retired contractor, owner/ operator of North East Builders. Mr. Cronic was preceded in death by brothers, Sam Cronic, Harry “Red” Cronic and Bobby Cronic; and a sis ter, Mary Cronic Greeson Bowen. Survivors include his wife, Ann Cronic, Winder; sons and daughters- in-law, Jason and Terry Scott, Jarrod and Susan Scott, all of Winder, Benji and Mary Cronic and Bobby and Rene Cronic, all of Bethlehem; eight grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Cronic, Winder, and Bill Cronic, Port Jervis, N.Y. Bom in Clarke County, he was the son of the late Thomas David and Lois Frances Mobley Hall. He was a graduate of Winder Barrow High School in 1969. Survivors include a brother, Bobby Hall, Duluth; and sister, Barbara Simpson, Winder. Memorial services were held Monday, November 12, at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Brock Bennett officiating. Frank Olinger Winder Frank Morefield Olinger, Sr., 82, of Winder, died Tuesday, November 6, 2007, following an extended illness. He was bom in Wabash, Ind., and lived in Winder for the past six years. He was formerly employed as a salesman with Tme Value Hardware in Riverdale and was Baptist. Mr. Olinger was a veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, where he earned a Purple Heart in the Battle of Iwo Jima. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Olinger, Winder; daughters, Karen Scalisi, Lafayette, La., Rebecca Mitchell, Winder; son, Frank Olinger Jr., Winder; son-in- law, Robert Mitchell, Winder; grand children, Shane Scott, Angel Scalisi, and Brett Scott, all of Lafayette, La., Amanda Yaptengco, Amy Brannon, both of Winder; great-grandchil dren, Tristan Yaptengco, Cameron Yaptengco, Chayse Brannon, all of Winder, Nathanial Scott, Lafayette, La.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Ron Borker, Sierra Vista, Ariz., Betty and Burt Amette, Plainville, Ind.; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Ivie Olinger, Oxford, Carl Olinger, Wabash, Ind.; sister-in-law, Rozalia Olinger, Columbus; and niec es, nephews and cousins. She was a member of the United Methodist Nazareth Church in Winder. Mrs. Skinner was preceded in death by her husband, W.N. Skinner Jr.; and a grandson, Chris Page. Michael Dooley Braselton Michael Douglas Dooley, 57, of Braselton, died Thursday, November 8, 2007. Born in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Ralph and Beulah Jackson Dooley and was a mechanical engineer. Mr. Dooley was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Vietnam War. Survivors include his life part ner, Barbara Griffin, Braselton; son, Matthew Dooley, Savannah; and three grandchildren. She was bom in Jackson County and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Montine Parson Hollifield. She was retired from Carrier Transco in Athens. Survivors include sisters and broth- er-in-law, Carrine H. and Warren Brooks, Nicholson, Christine Perry, Lawrenceville; niece, Robin Perry; nephews and spouses, Todd and Rhonda Brooks, Mike and Bronda Brooks, Keith Brooks; great-niece, Whitley Brooks; great-nephew, TJ Brooks; step-great-niece; and three step-great-nephews. Mr. Shafer requested his ashes be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico close to a former residence in Destin, Fla., and the family is planning a trip in the spring, according to loved ones. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Shafer; children, John Shafer, Michelle Poss, Chris Shafer, Mike Shafer; and six grandchildren. She was bom on July 2, 1930, in Bartow County, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Bell Cochran Ledbetter. She was a homemaker and was Baptist. Mrs. Autry was preceded in death by her hus band, John Henry Autry; and a great grandchild, Timmy Winham Smith. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Linda G. Autry and Martha and Tim Smith, all of Jefferson; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Sheila Autry and David L. and Debra Autry, all of Jefferson; sister-in-law, Stella Ledbetter, Jefferson; five grandchil dren; and seven great-grandchildren. The Braselton News, November 14, 2007. Ralph Vandiver Gainesville Hoschton Lyle “Pat” Shafer, 79, of Hoschton, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, at his residence. He was a charter member of the Hamilton Mill Presbyterian Church and was retired from the Bell Telephone System. He had several small busi nesses before he founded the Century 21, American Realty in Braselton. Mr. Shafer was a veteran, having served as a Major in the ~ United States Army and the reserves. He was a member of Ralph W. Vandiver, 80, of Gainesville, died Sunday, November 11,2007. Bom on January 19, 1921, he was the youngest of seven sons of the late Claude and Ruby Boggs Vandiver. He was raised on a farm just outside of Jefferson, and was a graduate of Martin Institute. He was a local mer chant, who had business on West Broad Street and Red Lane Road in Gainesville. He was a member of the Masonic Order for most of his adult life and a long-serving member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school and held various offices. Survivors include his wife, Archie Hanes Vandiver, Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Becky Vandiver, Conyers, Tom and Melissa Vandiver and Ben Vandiver, all of Charlotte, N.C.; sister-in-law, Frances Vandiver, Jefferson; grandchildren, Jonathan Vandiver, Stone Mountain, Ben Vandiver, Kate Vandiver, both of Charlotte, N.C. Roberta Brown Royston Frances Roberta Moore Brown, 84, of Royston, died Sunday, November 4, 2007. She was bom in Lumpkin County, Dahlonega, on February 24, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Robert McClure and Ola Jane Smith Moore. She was a lifelong member of the Royston First United Methodist Church. She was a former chem ist, having attended North Georgia College, the University of Miami and the University of Wisconsin. She was a lifelong learner continuing studies at Cambridge University-Emmanuel College, England and the University of Georgia. She was active in many civic organizations, including 35 years on the Royston Public Library Board/ Athens Regional Library Systems, and over 15 years on the Governor's Council for Maternal and Infant Child Care. She served on the Ty Cobb Hospital Auxiliary, the Franklin/Hart/ Elbert Ladies Medical Auxiliary, and a former president of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Southern Railway Surgeons Association. She was active in the local and state Democratic Political Party, Emmanuel College Fund Raising Campaign, North Georgia College Robert & Ola Moore Scholarship Fund, and the state and national Habitat for Humanity Programs. She was an avid golfer and tennis player and enjoyed time with friends and family, loved ones stated. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Stewart Dixon Brown, Jr.; grandson, Christopher Robert Brown; sister, Minnie Lou M. Lear; son-in-law, Dr. David F. Daniel; aunt, Edna Hitchcock, sisters-in- law, Mary Stewart Brown and Sarah Frances Weir. Shope; brothers-in-law, Clifford Anderson and Hubert Collins; and a son-in-law, John Timothy “Tim” Brooksher.
