After the game, Bollier met with his players to discuss ways in which they could improve their performance. “Actually, I asked them if they would give me some help and give me some ideas,” Bollier said. “So what we did was fill up the board with player suggestions and things we want to do a better job at. It really was everything I would have said. Those guys know what they need to do. We just need to sharpen up the ship. We have to take care of the little things or we’re going to be in trouble all season long.” Bollier said the S. Forsyth game was not a good representation of the Mill Creek High School or the basketball program. “Our guys are walking out of here tonight a little bitter at how they represented our school, our com munity and our program,” Bollier said. “You know it was just an ugly basketball game.” After the loss to S. Forsyth, Bollier said he did not think low morale, due to losing the previous four games, was a factor in the loss. “You know, you’re dealing with young men,” Bollier said. “I think they’re pretty resilient, but I think they got their feelings hurt tonight. I’ll be really interested to see how they respond to Dacula tomorrow.” Unfortunately for the Hawks, the response to Dacula was not what Bollier or his team had hoped. The Falcons and Hawks share a spirited rivalry which was evident at Saturday’s game. Falcon fans staged a whiteout for the visiting Hawks, setting the stage for a bitter confrontation. Four Dacula players scored in double digits paving the way for a Falcon victory. The Falcons also beat the Hawks on the boards, grab bing 29 rebounds to the Hawks’ 13. The worst part of the game occurred when Dacula and Mill Creek players got into a scuffle late in the game which ended with the ejection of Dacula’s Brian Cole and Mill Creek’s Zach Landis. Both Cole and Landis will serve two game suspensions. Landis led the Hawks in scor ing against Dacula with 21 points. Travis Bollier scored nine. Mill Creek saw a glimmer of hope for their program against North Forsyth on Tuesday. Chris Avery and Chase Anderson chipped in 13 points each to lead the Hawks to a narrow, three point margin of victory over the Raiders. The Hawks will try to pick up their second win of the season against the Bulldogs on Friday at N. Gwinnett.
