WJMS FBLA members attend conference West Jackson Middle School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members attended a fall leader ship conference at the Classic Center in Athens. The 2007-2008 WJMS FBLA officers attended, including: Sarah Walrath, president; Sadie Visotski, vice president; Santina Carter, secretary; Hannah Doster, treasurer; Abby Davidson, historian; Ariana Copeland, reporter and Brittany Lee, parliamentarian. At the conference, the officers were taught leadership skills and also competed in a Monopoly tournament, with proceeds to benefit the March of Dimes. ^ JX_ LEWIS NAMED TEACHER OF THE YEAR West Jackson Middle School recently named Misty Lewis as its 2008-2009 Teacher of the Year. Lewis has been teaching for seven years with the last five being at West Jackson Middle School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education from Georgia Southern University and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Troy University. She is currently working on a doctorate degree in educational leadership from Argosy University. Lewis is shown with her husband, Tim, and twin boys, Christopher and Christian.
