She was bom in Sylacauga, Ala., the daughter of the late Ulyses and Annie Bunn Ward. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church and was a retiree of R. & R. Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee “Nim” Harris: and siblings, Zeffie Hall and James Ward. Survivors include children, Virginia Morgan, Phyllis Harris and Lynn Dial, all of Winder; brothers. Bill Ward, Winder, and George Ward, Jefferson; sisters, Elizabeth Scott and Shirley Bramlett, both of Winder, Alice Gabriel, Ensley, S.C.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Bom in Banks County on January 13, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Kitchens Stephens. She was retired from Oxford and a member of Campus Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Stephens, Braselton; cousins and many close friends. Funeral services were held Monday, December 10, in the chapel of Little- Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. She was bom in Holmes County, Fla., the daughter of the late Isaac A. and Lorine Skinner Snell. She was a homemaker and member of the Winder First Baptist Church. Mrs. Brannon was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Brannon; and a sister, Doris Snell Thomas. Survivors include a son and daugh- ter-in-law, Brad and Devre Brannon, Athens; and grandchildren, Patrick and Cayde Brannon. She was bom in Barrow County, the daughter of the late Albert and Tinnie Paige Freeman. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Baptist Church and member of the Braselton Women’s Club. Mrs. Rooks was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hubert Rooks. Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Duck, Braselton; sisters, Oppie McKenzie, Statham, and Dean Beasley, Buford: five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. A native and lifelong resident of Barrow County, he was the son of the late Ernest and Judy Griffith Smith. He was a member of the Winder First Baptist Church and was a retiree of R. & R. Manufacturing Company of Auburn. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by sons, Ken Smith and Gary Smith; and sisters, Elise Ashley and Betty Smith. Survivors include his wife, Almeda Simpson Smith, Winder; children, Kim Phillips, Winder, and Tim Smith, Auburn; grandchildren, Jamie Martin, Cody Smith, Lee Smith and Madison Phillips. Survivors include his wife, Poua Xiong, Hoschton; sons, Vang Xiong, Michigan, Seng Xiong, Laos, Nhasue Xiong, Auburn, and Vue Xiong, Hoschton; daughter, Zoua Xiong Her, California; 26 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a retired den tal hygienist and a member of Bogart Christian Church. Mrs. Bradberry was preceded in death by her husband, James Bradberry. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Josephine Roberts, Cleveland; and nephews, Wesley Roberts and Wendall Roberts. He was a member of the Free Chapel Worship Center and was a student at Georgia Southern University. Survivors in addition to her father, include her husband, Donnie Eugene Bentley, Jefferson; daughters, Felicia Cannon, Jefferson, Elizabeth Rozul, Warner Robins, Crissy Row, Kentucky; a son, Matthew Bentley, Jefferson; brother, Robert McMillan, Cartersville; and four grandchildren. Stanley Crocker Lula Stanley Wayne Crocker, 61, of Lula, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, following a sudden illness. Bom in Banks County, he had lived in Hall County for a number of years, and was the son of Calvin and Rachel Crocker of Lula. He had been in the construction business for the past 29 years and was the song leader for the Living Missions United Methodist Church for 20 years. He was a member of the Lula Masonic Lodge #352 and also a member of The Gideons. Mr. Crocker was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and loved to hunt and spend time with his 5 grandsons, loved ones stated. Survivors in addition to his parents, include his wife, Jeanette Duncan Crocker, Lula; sons and daughters-in- law, Deron and April Crocker and Jason and Marcy Crocker, all of Lula; grand sons, Jonah Crocker, Brody Crocker, Levi Crocker, Lane Crocker and Caden Crocker, all of Lula; sisters, Evalene Davidson, Alto, Brenda Arrowood, Gainesville, and Magalene Pruitt, Nelson; brothers, Swayne Crocker and Ronnie Crocker, both of Cornelia. Hill, 66, of Maysville, died Monday, December 10, 2007. at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. ~ Born on May 11, 1941, in Rabun County, he was the son of the late Bill and Stella Jane Taylor Hill. He was a maintenance engineer with Frito Lay, and was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam. He attended New Haven Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Janie Watkins Hill, Maysville; a son, Jason Hill, New York; daughter, Karen Day, Maysville; brothers, Bobby Hill, Baldwin, and Gary Hill, Buford; sister, Ann Yearwood Ramey, Lakemont: a granddaughter, Taylor Day, Maysville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 13, at 2 p.m., in the New Haven Baptist Church in Commerce, with the Revs. Terry Hagwood and Jerry Smith, and Mr. William Hill offi ciating. She was bom in Hall County, the daughter of the late Hansel and Beulah Leach Armour. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Worley was preceded in death by her husband, James Worley, Sr. Survivors include daughters, Jeri Williams and Francis Hudgins, both of Gainesville, and Joan Kali, Gillsville; sons. Jolly Worley and Michael Worley, Gillsville, Ricky Worley, Danielsville, Philip Worley, Cleveland, and Fabian Worley, Commerce; brothers, R.B. John Garrison Carnesville John Howard Garrison, 86, of the Plainview Community of Carnesville, died Saturday, December 8, 2007, at BJC Medical Center in Commerce. He was bom in Franklin County on January 31, 1921, the son of the late John Marvin and Ollie C. McDuffie Garrison. He was a farmer and was retired from Coates and Clark in Toccoa. He was a 50-year member of the Carnesville Masonic Lodge #186 and was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Garrison was pre ceded in death by a brother, Henry Dewane "Shorty” Garrison. Survivors include his wife, Louise Gillespie Garrison; son and daughter- in-law, Douglas H. and Barbara B. Garrison, Winder; daughter, Linda Payne, Carnesville; five grandchil dren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Morene Coffee, Demorest.
