Woman pours gasoline in house, threatens to burn it
A Keysville woman is accused of pouring
gasoline in a Braselton residence and threat
ening to bum it down with the residents
inside.
Amanda Michelle Maddox. 37, 1246
Farmers Bridge Road, Keysville — faces
charges of wanted person.
Maddox flagged Braselton Police Depart
ment officers down and told her a man
assaulted her at a Braselton residence. She
said he dropped her off at his home, went
into the woods, then came out with a black
metal pole.
Maddox also reportedly told officers she
was a drug user and liked doing meth-
amphetamine and other drags. She also
allegedly said the man who assaulted her
was running a “chop shop” at his residence
and was “cooking drugs.”
She reportedly had scratches on her body,
which officers said looked consistent with
someone walking through briers. Maddox
allegedly told them repeatedly that she “was
not crazy.”
The man who allegedly assaulted Mad
dox had a largely different story, though.
He told officers he picked Maddox up and
dropped her off at his home before going
outside to work. His roommates called him
later, claiming Maddox was “pouring gas
all over the house and was threatening to
bum it down with everyone in it.” according
to the BPD report.
The man returned and confirmed the
house smelled like gas. He said Maddox
was in his track with a hammer, beating the
key switch.
The two had an argument and Maddox
left the scene.
