5 charged for drugs in Braselton
Five people were arrested for drugs in
three recent traffic stops in Braselton.
In one incident, Dylan Vaughn Johnson,
23, 134 SW Patrick Mill Road, Winder,
and Ashley Lee Ann Tullis. 22, 54 East
Avenue, Winder, were charged for pos
session of methamphetamine, possession
of a controlled substance, possession of a
controlled substance (opium or derivative)
and original container violation. Tullis faces
an additional charge of possession/use of a
drug-related object.
The two were stopped after changing
lanes without a signal and making an ille
gal U-turn. Johnson apparently appeared
nervous and was sitting on something that
looked like paperwork.
Officers smelled marijuana and Tullis
consented to a vehicle search. She got her
purse out of the vehicle and officers asked
if they could look in it.
She said she only had money in it, but
officers found a baggie of suspected meth
amphetamine and Alprazolam pills. Tullis
said she got the purse from a friend.
Inside the vehicle, officers found more
suspected methamphetamine and Alpra
zolam pills, Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen
pills and two glass smoking devices. One
had a white residue inside that looked like
methamphetamine residue.
Tullis said the other contained burnt mar
ijuana. She said that was the only drug she
used.
OTHER DRUG ARRESTS
Other drug arrests made by the Braselton
Police Department were:

Appling — possession of methamphet
amine; possession of a firearm while com
mitting a crime; possession with intent to
distribute a controlled substance; and pos-
session/use of drug-related objects. The two
were stopped for failing to maintain lane
and a brake light violation. Marshall report
edly appeared nervous. When officers told
him to exit the vehicle, asked if he would
be “tackled” if he got out of the car claiming
he “saw it happen before in the movies.” He
said he was going to see a man he’d been
locked up with. Marshall consented to a
search and officers found $1,300 in cash in
his wallet and suspected methamphetamine
in a cigarette pack that was in his pocket.
Inside the vehicle, officers found two glass
smoking devices (one had burnt residue
consistent with methamphetamine), two
digital scales, measuring spoons with sus
pected methamphetamine residue, unused
baggies and a baggie of methamphetamine.
•Michael Andrew Lyttle, 45,1042 Collins
Road, Waynesboro — possession of a con
trolled substance (amphetamine); original
container violation; and possession/use of a
drug-related object. Lyttle was stopped after
he changed lanes across a solid white line.
Officers had been watching Lyttle’s vehi
cle, which stopped for an extended amount
of time at a stop sign and “slowed down
dramatically” when it got into a right-turn
only lane, Lyttle said he was looking for a
restaurant and reportedly appeared nervous.
He consented to a search of the vehicle
and officers found amphetamine pills in
an unmarked bottle that was located under
a floorboard rug. They also found crystal
residue in the trunk.

it, Cormick reportedly appeared nervous

but he continued resisting. He was arrest

was involved in an accident and officers

Boulevard, Forest Park — fourth degree
forgery. Dunlap reportedly tried to cash a
fake check for over $1,200. After the bank
learned it was a fake check, Dunlap left the
scene but was later detained. The check
was reportedly stolen from the owner’s
mail. Dunlap told officers that two men
approached him and asked him to cash the
check. They said he could keep $200 from
it. He said he didn’t know he was doing
anything wrong and was just trying to
make a “couple hundred” to help someone
cash their check.
