A fellowship dinner will be at 6:15 p.m. followed by Bible study be ginning at 7 p.m. The HUMC Youth Group will have its regular Wednesday night UMYF on January 15. HUMC will also be offering three studies during the winter and into the season of Lent, including: •’’James: Faith/Works” written by Matt Chandler. This is a 13-week Bible study beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. each Wednesday following the fellowship super at 6:15 p.m. •’’Jesus Among Secular Gods: Con fronting the Claims of Culture” written by Ravi Zacharias and Vince Vitale. This Bible study will begin on Wednes day, Feb. 12, at 12 noon and will be held each Wednesday for approximate ly 6-7 week study. A light lunch will be provided each Wednesday. •’’Because of This I Rejoice” writ ten by Max O. Vincent. This study will begin on Sunday, March 1, at 4 p.m. It will be held on Sundays through April 5 from 4-5:30 p.m. This book is a study on Philippians and will be a study through the season of Lent. The Church on the Hill hosts sermon series The Church on the Hill recently be gan a three-week sermon series, The Forgotten Commandment: Rediscover ing the Beauty of Sabbath.
