There's going to be a lot
of bikes in Braselton.
Approximately 1,200
cyclists will stop in town
for a two-night stay next
week as the Bike Ride
Across Georgia (BRAG)’s
“Big BRAG" event rolls
through downtown. Bra
selton is one of six stops
on the tour.

with murder in
death of her baby

charges following an inves
tigation into the death of her
21-month-old son in Febru
ary, according to a press re
lease from the Hall County
Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).
Gloria Neshee Stringer.
31, was charged with mur
der in the second degree
and child cruelty in the sec
ond degree after the inves
tigation determined she was
responsible for allowing the
victim, Jamari Stringer, to
have access to cocaine and
fentanyl.
The HCSO began the in
vestigation on Feb. 1 when
deputies were called to the
residence on Oliver Rd. for
a cardiac arrest report. Ja
mari was found unrespon
sive and was transported
to a local hospital and then
to Children's Healthcare
of Atlanta (CHOA). where
the child died. The baby's
body was transported to the
Dekalb County Medical Ex
aminer's Office for autopsy.
The medical examiner ruled
the death a homicide.

the Gwinnett County Po
lice Department Commu
nity Response Team, Gloria
Stringer was arrested at a
location in Buford on Mon
day. May 22. She remains
in the Hall County Jail. The
Hall County Department of
Family and Children Ser
vices also assisted in the
investigation.

Braselton seeks artists
to repaint downtown space

There will be some new
splashes of paint in down
town Braselton.
The town’s downtown
development (DDA) au
thority plans to repaint the
planters on Frances St. and
is calling on artists to cre
ate a mural. The planters
are adjacent to the town’s
historic grist mill on Fran
ces St.
The painting area spans
three planters, each with
8’ x 2'8” dimensions. The
artwork must fill the entire

molestation charges
The Flowery Branch Police
Department arrested Calvin
Cook, who serves as Chero
kee Bluff’s girls’ high school
soccer coach and a Cherokee
Bluff Middle School teacher,
Friday morning for one count
of child molestation, according
to a press release from the Hall
County School District.
The alleged incident ocurred
off-campus, according to the
press release.
The school district was made
aware of allegations against
Cook late in the afternoon
on April 24, via the Flowery
