From Woman’s Work.
HEREAFTER.
In the land of the hereafter
Thon shalt find me, Sweet;
I will lead thee into heaven,
I will kneel me at thy feet:
I will guard and guide thee dear,
I will banish every tear,
And I’ll drive away all fear
Until thou shalt come to me,
Mine forevermore to be.
L. Fidelia Woolley Gillette.

PHOTOGRAPH HOLDERS.
Three panels of paste board 15 inches
long by sinches wide, with the top pointed,
may be covered with silk, satin or velvet
and joined by bars made of buttonhole silk
or narrow ribbon; several straps of ribbon
of the same color as the material are sewed
across each panel and into these the pictures
are slipped.
A MANTEL LAMBREQUIN.
This lambrequin is composed of alternate
squares of red fiiina silk and the lace known
as gusipure. The squares are each 5 inches
square and on the silk ones are worked
some pretty design, the pattern used in
this article being wild roses. These squares
of silk and lace, after being put together,
are bordered top and bottom by a band of
silk; the lower band being 3 inches wide
and the upper 2 inches. A vine of wild
roses is worked on the lower band. On
both the squares and the band, the flowers
are worked with pink floss, the leaves and
calyx in various shades of green floss and
the tendrils golden brown; the stems should
be done with the darkest green. The
lambrequin is lined with cream colored
silesia and fastened to the mantel by means
of fancy brass headed nails, tacked through
the upper band of silk. The bottom edge
should be finished by a narrow lace like
pattern in the square. This lambrequin
may be copied in less expensive material
by using sateen in place of silk.
I hope this pattern will prove of use to
some of the Woman’s Work readers.
