Inhale a few drops of CERTAIN CATARRH CURE through each nostril, night and morning, it
keeps the head clear: prevents or cures hay fever, colds, sore throat, and all catarrhal troubles. A
harmless remedy that will save much suffering, loss of time, and expense of sickness. It has been
used for years, and becomes a household remedy wherever known. The combination of local and
constitutional treatment which it offers for CATARRH, gives it a field entirely its own in CURINCUII
stages of this fearful disease. Carefully read the information and testimony given below.

THE SECRET OF OUR SUCCESS.
We claim that a combination of local
and constitutional treatment is necessary to
thoroughly eradicate Catarrh. Exclusively
loca. applications, if made when the
trouble first begins, sometimes cure, hut
more frequently drive the disease to other
parts of the system where it develops in
a far more serious form. Blood purifiers
may improve the condition of the system,
but they seldom cure—for they do not
reach the seat of the disease. Certain
Catarrh Cure is the only preparation
which combines local and constitutional
treatment, and can consistently claim to
cure Catarrh in all its forms and stages.
It is cheap, easily used, purely vegetable,
entirely harmless. By it, others, who had
no faith, have been cured: YOU CAN BE,
whether you have had the disease one year
or fifty; whether it is in the head, stomach
orbladder. TRY IT NOW.
DELAY IS DANGEROUS.
Past Failures Need not Discourage You.
The Symptoms and Effects
• of Catarrh.
Many persons allow Catarrh to gain a
stronghold, in the belief that they are
troubled with an ordinary cold. It
“seems stubborn,” and longer
than usual,” but they are not alarmed.
Finally the sense of smell is gone; then
they realize that the hearing is not
good, the eyesight is failing, the voice
is affected, they begin to breath through
the mouth, have pains in the head,
grow weak, become despondent, memory
is not what it formerly was, there is an
itching, burning sensation in the nasal
organs, discharges pass into the throat
and irritate it, the stomach is deranged,
the whole system pulled down, the
body a wreck. Perhaps the result is
Catarrh of the stomach, or Consumption;
or death may approach gradually and
way from the complete, ex
haustion of all its forces. And all this
started with ‘ ‘ an ordinary cold in the
—head.” We do not seek to make the
impression that Catarrhal affections
result so seriously in all cases, or even
in a majority of cases; but we have
not exaggerated the probabilities of the
disease, and every person who has
experienced any part of the symptoms
enumerated, will appreciate the import
ance of some effectual treatment. So
far as we are aware, but few prepara
tions have ever been offered which
would cure the disease, or even afford
temporary relief, in its simplest stages,
and alter it assumes a complicated or
chronic form, these can offer no hope
whatever. *
DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS
BY SMILES SHE WINS WHERE SWORDS COULD NEVER CONQUER.
ATHENS, GEORGIA, AUGUST, 1892.
Catarrh Can be Cured.
For the reasons just enumerated, there
is a wide spread belief that the disease
is incurable, and we frequently hear
persons assert this opinion.' Among
these are some physicians, who have
condemned patients to lives of misery
by informing them that all treatment
is 'humbugg-ery and death the
only relief. Wfe are not surprised at
this prevailing impression. The unsuc
cessful use of perhaps a dozen “sure
cures” (?) is calculated to confirm sue)
a view of the c£fe, and it is safe to
assert that over half the persons who
have been restored to health by Certain
Catarrh Cure, commenced its use with
little confidence in the results. Discour
agement of sufferers front the use of other
medicines for Catarrh has been the only
drawback to our business. Wherever a
person has thrown aside his skepticism
and accorded Certain Catarrh Cure a
fair trial, he has been convinced of the
erroneousness of the assertion “ Catarrh
can’t be cured.”
The record of our remedy is re
markable, it having shown itself equally
efficacious in every form of the
disease, from the simplest first symp
toms, to the most aggravated type. We
confidently believe that any person suf
fering from Catarrh, who has vitality
sufficient to keep him alive until Certain
Catarrh Cure is given time to impart its
properties, can be completely cured by
its use, provided consumption or some
similar malady has not assumed its sway.
That all other remedies have failed is no
evidence that this will not cure.
Are Its Results Permanent?
This question we are frequently asked.
We answer YES. We do not mean to say
that if you are cured by Certain Catarrh
Cure once, you are absolutely “ Catarrh
proof” forever thereafter.. Such an
idea is ridiculous. A dentist may pull
your tooth. No one questions the fact
that the tooth pulled will never
ache again, but at the same time
everyone recognizes that similar influ
ences may affect the other teeth and
cause them to ache. You may be
twenty-five years old. Have perhaps had
Catarrh five years. Our medicine
cures you; but that does not imply
that in the course of twenty-five years
longer the same causes which attacked
you before, and produced Catarrh, may
not do so again. But the question is,
“Does our remedy cure permanently?
and we repeat our reply—YES. >lt
does, if it is given a chance to
do so. If its use is discontinued as
soon as relief is experienced, you need
not be surprised if the disease returns.
The idea we seek to convey is that a
permanent cure may be confidently
expected, if the medicine is properly
used for a reasonable le: gth of time —
depending on the severity of disease and
condition of system —and that the relief
obtained makes it a most desirable in
vestment from the first, even if you
have no faith in a cure. It is reasonable
to believe that what it has done it will
do again. If numerous cases cured from
one to thirty-seven years ago are
evidence of the permanency of its re- |
suits, there is no room for doubt.
SI,OOO Reward—a Humbug!
Don’t Be Deceived by the offer of a
large reward in case some medicine fails to
cure you. If the reward is claimed, there
is always some way to evade its pay
ment ; if never claimed, it is no evidence that
everybody, or anybody, has been cured;
but it speaks well for the intelligence of
our people, that no one is fool enough
to expect its payment. $1,000,000
might be offered with equal safety; tor it
is needless to say that the user of such med
icines always dies before their proprietors
are convinced that he “can’t be cured.”
We have no desire to sell Certain
Catarrh Cure by misleading and meaning
less propositions. We offer it for sale be
cause we know it is reliable. We claim
that it is a CURE, because this has been
demonstrated too often to admit doubt in
our minds. We believe it is the ONLY
cure, because numerous persons get well by
its use, after trying dozens of other so-called
cures without benefit.
We are disposed to give the public every
protection possible against the imposition
of scheming frauds or worthless nostrums,
but NO DEPENDENCE CAN BE
PLACED IN GUARANTEES. If Con
gress will pass a law by which all medi
cines are subjected to a thorough test, and
their merits—in the diseases which they
claim to cure—are fully established before
they can be offered for sale, we will heart
ily favor it An honest remedy suffers
more from the failure of other prepara
tions to establish their claims than from
all other causes combined—as disappoint
ment in one medicine causes distrust in
many.
11l Support of Our Claims,
We offer the testimony of those who have
tried Certain Catarrn Cure to their entire
satisfaction. “An ounce of experience is
worth a pound of theory. ’ Our endorsers
are well known persons, who are alive and
can be found. Not one of our testimoni
als was purchased at any price. They are
the voluntary expressions of parties who
seek to benefit humanity. A perusal of
them will surely convince you that our
claims are well founded. If you have
Catarrh, you cannot afford to be indiffer
ent to its progress. Treatment cannot be
commenced too early. The longer disease
continues, the more time it will require to ;
be eradicated. Your unsatisfactory experi- |
ence with other remedies should not influ- >
once you against ours. Lay aside distrust;
give Certain Catarrh Cure a fair test, and
you will, throughout the remainder of your
ife, feel thankful to us for the advice.
REMEMBER I
Certain Catarrh Cure is not simply a
snuff or local application, to drive the dis
ease from the nasal organs into the system;
nor a blood remedy, to tone up the system
and leave the nasal parts uncured; but it
is a combination of both methods, and the
only remedy which will give satisfaction in
the many different stages of catarrh.

3 C Co., Athens, Ga.:
Gentlemen—lt affords me pleasure to
inform you of the great benefits I derived
from the use of Certain < atarrh Cure. 1 was
afflicted for eight or ten months with nasal
catarrh, and at times my suffering was in
tense. My throat and lungs were very
much affected—l coughed almost inces
santly, and thought my case would go into
consumption.
I tried other remedies, but grew worse
all the time. I was induced to try your
Certain Catarrh Cure, and, a:tar using
about three bottles, commenced to improve
rapidly. I used five or six bottles, and
have suffered none since. I shall always
feel grateful that you discovered a remoJy

to testify to its wonderful curative powers.

My throat and bronchial tubes were much
involved—my throat being almost entirely
covered with ulcers ; could swallow only
very soft food. My hearing and umse of
smell were much impaired. 1 used your
