Out thanks are due the proprietor of
that sterling old sheet, the Mobile
Register , for un invitation to dine at the
Battle House, on Christmas day. Had
it been a liftle more convi. nt we should
certainly have—or—that is to say—
perhaps—well—maybe—but here’s to
the Mobile Register and its generous
proprietor. Long may they exist to
battle for Democracy and justice.
The Aldine Press, is the title of a
very handsome monthly, published in
New York, by Sutton, Bowne tfc Cj.,
at $2 a year. It is a beautiful specimen
of Printing—the best we have seen, and
ought to be patronizetl by all overs of
the beautiful in Art.
Time rolls on, “ Christmas times will
soon be over,” and we commence the
dutie* of another year. But it can
•careely excel the past in evil eonse
queuces, so far as Georgia is concerned.
Her people are now the grand mnguate
of radical hate—and she the only safe
guard to liberty ou this continent—if
Georgia yields, Radicalism will triumph
throughout.
But let us hope for better things—
and strive to work out oorsalvation, by
pursuing the even tenor of our course
—sanction nothing, and suffer whatever
we can’t prevent.

Don’t be discouraged, if you have
dyspepsia or any disease of the liver; re
collect it was contracted some time ago,
and has been affecting you probably lor
years. You cannot therefore, expect
to get well by one dose, or in one day.
It has taken a long time to confirm your
disease, and if you will just take one
tenth of the time in trying to get well
(by using Simmons’ Liver Regulator,)
you will have cause to bless the day
you heard of it. Try it; keep trying
it, and be well.
