They left the main line at Lebanon Junction. Lovisville, Aug. 25. —The posse of Lincoln s Collector have returned xvith their plunder, which tills twenty-five freight cars. Jefferson City, Mo.. Aug. 2G.—Bogus Goxu Gamble lias called out 42.000 Missourians, as the civil authorities are inefficient to keep the peace. New York, Aug. 25.—A special M asliington dispatch to the Nexv 5 oik Herald says that tut entire blame of the late’ Lexington riot rests up on Senator Breckinridge. Washington, Aug. 2G.--A special dispatch to the Nexv York "Herald'' says that there is great excitement in Washington city, in con sequence of the report that martiallaw i» about to be proclaimed there. A committee from Boston, has been heie endeavoring to induce President Lincoln to change Ids advisors. The committee represents the capitalists of Boston, xvho xvill not risk their capital unless certain Secretarial heads come off ■Washington. Aug. 2G.—A xvoman from Gen. Beauregard's headquarters has been arrested ; lesters were found on her inplicating prominent parties. Mr. Greenhow, widow of the late Librarian and translator, has been arrested. Mrs. Senator Gwinn’s trunks has been search ed by some clerk, and traces of the Washing ton fortifications found in it. Orders have been sant so West Point for her arrest. Dr- Manning xvas arrested to-day. Louisville, Aug. 2G.—The last letter Express left here for the South to-day. Postmaster Blair having directed the arrest of all mail or letter carriers. 'Written communications betxveen the two sections is now forbidden. Richmond, August 27.--President Davis health is much improved, and be will be able to attend to business to,morrow. are current here that the Confederates captured Rosencrantz's Federal army in the mountains of Western Virginia. No bills approved to-day; the ch it ex r-say we are on the eve of important events ; the ad vance picket guard collided near the Falls Church four miles from Alexandria. A few days ago the Federals xvere driven in. The Alab im ians held a meeting to-night to arrange about having a hospital. Ihe Georgians, Louisianians and Mississippians are moving for similar pur poses. Pittsburg, Aug. 25.—An infernal machine in Adams Express car. exploded, billing two of the employees. Washington, Aug. 27.—The picketts of the Confederate army are near Arlington Hights than ever before, but is not regarded as indi cating an attack. It is reported that the English and French fleets intend an intervention in Mexican affairs. Capt Keyes has been arrested at Chain Bridge Sexvard has gone to New York to arrange a new passport system. Nexx' York, Aug. 27.—Samuel J. Anderson has been rrreste I charged with corresponding with Vice President Stephens. J. A. Naehasy, a slave dealer, has been ar rested and held to bail. Cincinnati, Aug. 2'.—A fight at- Shotwell'- Toll Gate, seven miles above Covington, resuls ted in one Unionist being killed and another mortally xvounded.
