Comm ttee. Will editors throughout the 'ou h please bring this subject to the no ice of their readers I GOV. BROWN’S PI.EA FOR A THSRI) Tit RM. Gov. Brown has issued a circular or manifesto, in which he deprecates the late popular Convention, and every body connected willi it and advocates his own claims to a third term of the Gov ernorship. The document is too lengthy i for publication in our columns, and would not do the Governor any good : if it were published. Die M.ico/i f/’-o/j/i. thus comments upon the docu ment : The lamentable spectacle of a Gover nor of Georgia appealing', on his own mere motion f >r an undue, unprecedent ed and unsafe extension of his official power, was never before presented to lie people of proud Empire State of he South, and we trust i will never lie seen again. But if anything could add to the humiliating chara< ter of the ex hibition, it is the nature of the plea it self, which is simply and a di liberate impeachment <f the character and mo-: fives of hose who have dare I io put a candidate before the people in opposi tion to his own extraordinary demands and pretensions.
