Two on the Georgia State Road over Chei-kaniunga Creek in Hamilton County ; one on the East Tennes see & Georgia R R.. over Hiawassee river in Bradley County. Five minutes after the guard passed through the whole bridge was in flames, showing the use of c<imbust : b!es.— I Two on the Tenn., & Va„ R. R , one over* ! Lick Creek in Green County, and one , Holston River in Sullivan County. Guard at Liek Creek were unarmed and ovei whelmed, tied, carried away, and kept i during the day Saturday. Three men have ■ since been arrested whom the guard identified. Holston river bridge was not guarded, Sul.i van County being strongly Southern The bridge at Holston River, Strawberry Plains, Jefferson County, was fired, but put out b the people. The guard had one hand cut off and skud fractured. Indications that one incendiary was killed. A gentleman from East Tennessee reports great excitement in that section. The whole was evidently a preconcerted plan. The loss is heavy, and much inconvenience and delay will be occasioned in matters in E ist Tennes see. Much anxiety is felt on account of Zolli coffer. Columbus, Ky., Nov. 11.—A large Dahl green bursted here to day killing Capt. Rei ter, Lieut. Snowder, aid to Gen. Polk, Cor poral Hollinger and six privates, Gen. P -Ik stoned and clothes torn off. The correspond ent of the Memphis Appeal says, over 500 of thecnemy killed and 200 prisoners at Colum bus half of them wounded. Nearly 100 of our wounded arrived here this morning. All are now at Fortress Monroe. CiNCiNN vtti, Nov. 15.—The defeat of the I n ion forces at Guyandoote. was accomplished by the treachery- of a part of the inhabitants. It '■ was arranged between the izbel cavalry and ' rebel citizens, to massacre the Federal troops tin c id blood. The citizens invited the Feder- I als to their bouses, on Stindty eve dug who off duty. After dark (lie rebel cavalry in town, murdering the unarmed soldiers The rebel citizens men and women, rushed in arms, aided the cavalry slaughter. The Federals, in camp, prepared for the de fensive, but were overpowered, and had to break. When Col. arrived, and learned the particulars of the affair, he ordered the des truction of the town.
