I saw Chad Everett in a
movie on television the other
night. Since then, I’ve been
trying to think of which series
he was in? As I remember, he
played a doctor.
—-Jeannette Melia. Defiance. Ohio
Although Everett, now 71,
appeared as a recurring character
in several television shows in
the 1960 s—including Hawaiian
Eye , 77 Sunset Strip and Surfside
6—he is best known for his
role as dashing Dr. Joe Gannon
on the '7os prime-time drama
Medical Center. These days he hosts Master's Theater, a reli
gious series on the Trinity Broadcasting Network.

Pastor and best-selling author Max Lueado believes that the
message in the 26-word New Testament passage of John 3:16 is
so vital that he has focused an entire book on the subject. 3:16
The Numbers of Hope encourages believers to view this verse
with fresh eyes, using it as a starting point for addressing some
of the most central issues of life and religion. “This verse is brief
enough to write on a napkin yet solid enough to weather 2,000
years of storms and questions,” says Lueado, whose other
books have sold in excess of SO million copies.

I heard a country song by a new country
singer named Cole Deggs. Is that his real name, or
is it a joke?
—Nelson Williams, Chico, Calif.
Cole Deggs (pronounced cold eggs)
is indeed the name of the singer
who fronts the country band The

was likely the group's debut j
single, “I Want More,”
