Family, Consumer Sciences
teachers hold first meeting

The high school and middle school Family
and Consumer Sciences teachers of Houston
County schools met recently at Houston
County High School for their first monthly
meeting.
The group, according to a release, dis
cussed curriculum, teaching strategies, com
munity service projects and Family, Career
and Community Leaders of America. Ellen
Strait, former FACS teacher, gave a presen
tation about a possible cooperative project
with the Alzheimer’s Association.
