They recently held their grand opening of the luxury apartments on Houston Lake Road across the street from the Houston Lake Country Club. Police arrest armed robbery suspect Special to the Journal Uniformed officers of the Warner Robins Police Department were dis patched to the Taco Bell located at 829 Russell Parkway at approximately 8 a.m. Sunday. According to a police report, the 911 call was received in reference to an armed robbery in progress. Williams, riding in the front passenger seat, had injuries that included a broken pelvis and broken ribs. Friends of the three men arrived on the scene and administered CPR to Huckaby, but attempts to revive him were unsuccess ful and he was pronounced dead on the seen. He told wit nesses that the victim was merely sleeping and inter fered with other’s attempts 2 jailed over taxicab robbery Special to the Journal Houston County Sheriffs Office patrol units were dis patched to an attempted armed robbery at 118 Sherry Lane in Warner Robins Thursday at 1:44 a.m. According to a police report, units arrived on scene to dis cover that two black males had attempted to rob the driver of a taxicab. Members of the Warner Robins Police Department observed a juvenile near the crime scene and detained him within 10 minutes of the call without incident. The juvenile, who is 16, is currently being held at the Crisp County Regional Youth Detention Center. The Houston County Sheriffs Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Investigation Division also arrested 20- year-old Dartez Trawann Walker of Corinth Street in Warner Robins. After threatening to leave the seen and further interference with EMT’s attempts to save Huckaby’s life, he was detained in a patrol car. Once authorities learned he was the driver of the SUV he was arrested for vehicular homicide. At the time of the incident, Sinyard’s driver’s license was suspended for a previous DUI in Houston State Court, and he was on probation for a previous driving on sus pended license charge. Once he made bond, he was sent back to jail after he violated the terms of his house arrest by smoking marijuana. “There were no winners today or back on Nov. 5, 2006,” Burke said. “The com munity lost a fine young man in Joey Huckaby and now the family of Alan Sinyard will miss him for the next 10 years as well. rently being held at the Houston County Detention Center.
