Bill Phelps of the Perry Police Department offers a few tips that may make it easier for locals to navigate the traffic. Phelps encourages people who live in the Perry area to consider parking inside the East Gate entrance when attending the event. The East Gate is located off Larry Walker Parkway. Perry Police officers will also be directing traffic in key downtown areas and will have Carroll Street blocked off to avoid confusion along that one-way thoroughfare during peak times. Also, people who drop off and pick up family mem bers from the Fair should be aware that they may not be able to get onto the grounds easily when there is a high volume of traffic leaving, said Phelps.
