Helping children in need live, learn and thrive
P&G is committed to improving life for children in need
around the world. Through our corporate cause - P&G
Live, Learn and Thrive™ - we are helping children...
• Get off to a healthy start (Live)
• Receive access to education (Learn)
• Build the skills they need to succeed (Thrive)
In the past year, P&G has worked with partners like
UNICEF to.save and improve the lives of more than 50
million children around the world.
Medina Goes to School
Every year, more than 57 million girls around the world are
deprived of an education. In Ethiopia's Afar region, a
staggering 89 percent of children like ten-year-old Medina
Humed Ahmed do not have the chance-to go to school.

Because her parents are poor, nomadic sheepherders who
move often, school was an impossible dream for Medina.
But in 2005, UNICEF changed all that. UNICEF opened a
"mobile" school that moves with nomadic communities
and offers flexible hours so that children like Medina have
the chance for an education. Thanks to UNICEF, Medina
has been an enthusiastic, student for the past two years
and now dreams of becoming a pilot.
Her grateful, family says, "Getting an.education will help
Medina make.the most of her life."
P&G is proud to partner with UNICEF to provide help and
hope to children like Medina who need it most. For more
