According to a release, the purpose of the meeting was to recognize the great service rendered to the Southern Chapter the first Wednesday of each month since Sept. 22, 2004. Those attending from out of town were TAC Tanker Association member Bob Horne from Atlanta and Nate Hill, vice president of the TAC Tanker Association from Lancaster, Ohio. Southern Chapter members attending were William “Rip” Collins, Don Bill, Bobby Oliver (Joann), Lewis “Curly” Wright, Gil Switzer (Margaret). Jimmy Harrell of the Georgia Department of Corrections says that gutted deer should be brought to the Sports Center in Perry, from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Oct. 27 and 28. The deer will be processed by inmates at the department’s meat plant and donated to Perry Volunteer Outreach for distribution to those in need. For more information, call Harrell at 987-4554.
