Funeral services were held Thursday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church. Interment at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville fol lowed. The Rev. David Brighton officiated. Mr. Kuehn, a native of Brownstown, Indiana, was the son of the late Leonard H. and Golda R. Kuehn. He was a USAF veteran, a retired farm implement sales representative, a member of the Perry Horseshoe Pitching Association and a Lutheran. Survivors include his daugh ter, Jackie Bohm (Bill) , Warner Robins, Son, Keith Kuehn (Gina) , Milledgeville, Brother, L. Gene Kuehn, Ideal, Sisters, Frances Reisenbichler, Michigan, Marilyn Parker (Tim) , Wisconsin, Hazel Stockelman (Bill), Indiana, Carol Littmann (Larry) , Peachtree City, Georgia, Nancy Branscom (Chet), Warner Robins, friend, Katherine Husband, Perry; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by a bother, Richard Kuehn. The family asks that donations be made to the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund, 336 Carl Vinson Parkway, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088. Claire Sylvestre BYRON - Claire Sylvestre, 86, passed away Tuesday. Her husband and parents preceded her in death. Survivors include, daughters, Michelle Sylvestre Cameau, Byron; Margaret Full Oct 26 • New Nov 9 Safety check slated Special to the Journal A free car seat safety check will be held Nov. 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Perry WalMart parking lot. Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians with Safe Kids of Houston County will be on hand to check car seats and booster seats for proper installation. The event is sponsored by Safe Kids of Houston County with help from the Perry Exchange Club, the Perry Pilot Club, and WalMart of Perry. The best way to keep a child from becoming a sta tistic is to use an appro priate car seat or booster seat for every trip. Properly used and installed correctly, a car seat reduces the risk of death by 71 percent for rear-facing infants and 54 percent for forward-facing toddlers. (Air Force retired) Leon Parrish, 81, passed away Monday. His parents preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Tamae “Johnnie” Parrish, Warner Robins; sisters, Hazel Mayfield, Birmingham, Alabama, and Ruth Johnson, Jacksonville, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.
