Throughout the week they have: read and written facts about Johnny Appleseed, completed time lines about his life, had cooking and apple tasting activities. Jennifer Andrews, Kimberly Campbell, Jacob Parnell, and Hunter Wojohn have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise. The group traveled to Sydney, Australia where they snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, scaled the Sydney Harbor Bridge, and rode through a rain forest in a gondola. A highlight of the trip, according to a release, was an overnight stay at an Australian Aborigine camp. Kirkpatrick, a sophomore at the school, and Deighton, a Westfield junior, reported that they learned the art of spear and boomerang throw ing from the Aborigines and also learned to herd, brand, and castrate cattle.
