Q, We are wondering what ever happened to Amy Brenneman
* of Judging Amy. E uzabeth and Len E lbaor, Nineveh, hid.
By now, you may have seen Brenneman, 43, in the new movie
The Jane Austen Book Club, as well ABC’s Private Practice.
In the latter, she plays a psychiatrist who is “almost adolescent outside
work, yet does a brilliant job with her patients.” Brenneman, a married
mother of two, says, “The last two years, when I had fewer commitments,
were a joy, but I was ready to return.”

Jessica tested
Jessica Seinfeld just wanted to feed
her kids healthful food. But the more kids
she had (three now) and the older they
got the harder it became. Being a woman
who gets things done, Seinfeld started
making healthful options, and she tells
me that before she knew it other moms
were asking how she did it Voild. Her new
book. Deceptively Delicious, was bom. Well,
not quite that quickly, but having a name
like Seinfeld, she admits, helped get a pub
lisher. The book is all about sneaking good
stuff into things kids will eat There are
chickpeas in her chocolate chip cookies.
Need I say more?

USA WEEKEND • Oct. 26-28,2007
Brenneman goes
from Connecticut
judge to
California shrink.
Ken Mansfield, author of a new Beatles memoir. The White Book, remembers
them as regular guys, up to a point: "When you were inside their limo, or a hotel
room, or one of their homes, or hanging out it was very everyday until you stepped
outside the doors. Then it was crazy!" As a rep for Apple Records, Mansfield, 70,
witnessed Beatlemania up close. Ail the Beatles were "very real, very easy to be
with," Mansfield says. Of course, they were truly great musicians, too. Mansfield
says their final concert on the Apple roof was the highlight for him. "Those of us
on the roof that day knew something really special was happening."
Q, What ever happened to Bob Saget?
Nora Tucker. Willitx. Calif
Saget, 51, wholesome dad on Full House and
host of America's Funniest Home Videos, now
does raunchier projects. He was in the 2005
film The Aristocrats, in which comics shared
their private joke in the dirtiest manner, and
he wrote and directed 2006’s Farce of the Pen
guins. His latest offering is a DVD of his HBO
special, That Ain't Right, which isn’t clean. He
also is hosting episodes of 1 vs. 100, NBC’s
game show, but there’s no air date yet.
CARRADINEI
“I have no idea where this is going," says
Keith Carradine, 58, about his role as an
FBI guy on Showtime's Dexter. "All I know is that
I'm here through Episode 12." Such is the life
of a guest star, which Carradine has been many
times in his long career. Last season, he played
a serial killer in Criminal Minds. He was Wild
Bill Hickok in Deadwood. He has been guesting
since Bonanza in 1971 .“I love what I do," he says.
"I'm still very much a working actor. I never be
came a superstar. That wasn't in the cards."

Patrick Warburton, who

in CBS' Rules of Engagement.
He plays Jeff, a veteran of mar
riage who's also a pro at irking
his wife. Warburton, 42, can an
noy his own wife of 16 years,
too, by doing things like "eat
a tuna fish sandwich and then
try to kiss her." So, what did
,/*k Warburton cull from his
own bliss for this role? "Just bitterness and
cynicism," he jokes. 'l'm saying that to piss off
' the wife; she loves to read that stuff. It makes
r her laugh whenever I take a shot at marriage."
Warburton also voices a character in Jerry
« Seinfeld's Bee Movie, opening Friday.
