Call 478-329-4729 for more infor mation. ■ VVA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM - The Vietnam Veterans of American Warner Robins Chapter No. 902 announces its scholarship award program for 2008. Scholarships will be awarded in memory of Logan Walton, a late member of Chapter 902. Walton was a former U.S. Marine and Law Enforcement officer with the Fort Valley Police Department, the Dooley County Sheriff’s Office and the Peach County Sheriff’s Office. Two Vyarner Robins High School seniors received SI,OOO each in April through thte scholarship award pro gram. The Warner Robins Chapter will award scholar ships to high school seniors in Houston County. Students must either participate in the AFJROTC program at one of the Houston County schools or be the child or grandchild of a veteran. Applicants must be in finan cial need to mett educational expenses, maintain above average grades and most importantly, demonstrate a spirit of volunteerism and community involvement. More information and appli cations are available through the senior class guidance office, the AFJROTC office at each school or via the chapter website at www.wa9o2.org. Please use entrances on Main or Jernigan Street. ■ LIBRARY PHOTO CONTEST - The Houston County Friends of the Library are holding a photo contest. According to Pam Yates, FOL president, there are two prizes of S2O coupons that can be redeemed at the Old Book Sale in May 2008. “The contest involves tak ing a picture of your Houston County Friends book bag in a place that is the farthest away from Houston County or is the most unusual place for a book bag to find itself,” Yates explained. “Of course we are trying to sell book bags again this year, but bags from other past years can be eligible.” Multiple photo entries will be allowed and the photos will be displayed at the Old Book Sale. The deadline for submis sion is April 20, 2008. Call 923-1791 for more information. ■ WRLT COMIC MYSTERY - Warner Robins Little Theatre will soon present “Murder’s Bad but Monday can Kill You.” In the comic play, Harry Monday, a Sam Spade wan nabe in a trench coat, is hot on his latest case and he’s in over his head at the Restful Glen Psychiatric Annex where all the inmates have multiple personalities and the three murder victims are all the same man. Written by Pat Cook and directed by Jerry Pepper, the play opened Friday, with play dates today and Nov. 8-10, 15-17 at 8 p.m.; and mati nees Sunday and Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. Reservation lines are open each Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday for the run of the show. Join the cast and crew on opening night, Friday for a Green Room reception after the show. ■ KINGS CHAPEL FUND-RAISER - Kings Chapel Elementary School is having its fourth annual Boston Butt fund-raiser.
